I approached A Wright improvement online for a quote for a new garage door. I had a really quick response arranging an appointment swiftly for a quote. He attended on time and confirmed his ETA en route. He was well presented, polite and professional measuring our garage and giving us options on a new door to fit our budget and needs. He had the door in stock and managed to fit us in the very next day. The door was fitted whilst we were out so we came home to find the door finished. Called A.Wright Improvement for yet another big job in my kitchen having an old kitchen door leading to the garden, Ashley responded promptly, came in measured the door and windows, ordered and fitted a beautiful door that Ashley designed himself based on our preferences. Ashley and Bart were both reliable, professional and efficient. The work area was left tidy, all the waste and old door/windows cleared away! Another company had diagnosed the problem with my garage door and I was seeking a second opinion on how much the repair should cost. We purchased a garage door for supply & fit and a front door for supply only from Ashley. Ashley showed a lot of flexibility with the garage door fitting as the installation date kept shifting as a result of our building work. Ashley kept finding times to slot us into his schedule until the doors were eventually fitted. The doors were fitted perfectly and protected thoroughly after installation while our building work continued. The front door was provided as agreed. We had a few issues with missing front door parts that Ashley followed up swiftly for us. We originally agreed chrome fittings for the front door while we always wanted brushed steel. Ashley arranged that we got the brushed steel fittings in the end at no extra charge which was unexpected and highly appreciated. We used A Wright Improvement to install a new double garage door at our home. We are really happy with the result - the door was installed within the time frame quoted and looks amazing! Ashley was really friendly, helpful and honest from the time he came round to give us a quote right up until the installation was completed. On the day of installation Ashley unfortunately had some tools stolen from his van that was parked on our driveway, however that did not stop him and his team from completing the installation in a very professional manner. It’s impossible to praise Ashley Wright highly enough. Ashley is an intelligent, highly skilled, experienced and well equipped engineer, obviously with the highest personal standards in his dealings with customers. He attended today at very short notice, diagnosing the problem with my garage door and fitting a new lock and keys impressively swiftly, as the old existing lock had failed completely. He explained that the old wooden door frame was badly misaligned and that rain would probably exacerbate any difficulty in closing it. (I had come to this conclusion myself). His fee was incredibly far less than I anticipated and I am glad to recommend him to anyone seeking a competent, honest and reliable mechanical engineer. More...

Ashley came to “fix” my garage door, only to find a need for oil! Plus a minor problem with a small moving part which he showed my son how to fix, should there be a recurrence. He charged nothing, not even for the oil he supplied and sprayed liberally. Cannot recommend highly enough, especially when there are so many unscrupulous traders operating.
