What do you love most about your job?

Working with people and the creative process of designing architectural spaces and constructions that connect with the landscape.

What inspired you to start your own business?

15 years of working for internationally significant architects and artists gave me the confidence to start Research + Design. The company name was changed to Cura Design in 2021 to reflect its growth towards projects that connect with nature.

Why should our clients choose you?

Clients benefit from a background and knowledge of high end design combined with years of getting projects done on time and to budget.
Clients come to Cura Design looking for a designer who is sensitive to interpreting their aspirations and as well sensitive to the design and detailing of the building and the way this works with the landscape.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

I can provide services online or remotely for most projects at the feasibility and planning stages of a project. Services are available at Building regulation and Construction phases though in order for the services to be efficent and effective projects are required to have a construction budget above £400,000 to make this worthwhile for all involved.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

This is on a case by case basis. Cura Design work remotely and via zoom or other online meeting platforms and can complete surveys and other on site tasks independently if required. All covid recommendatons are followed including masks.

Architects need to monitor the project throughout so it is also important that they have a good working relationship with experienced contractors.
