Absolutely amazing establishment. I go here frequently. Good beer, amazing atmosphere, live music and fantastically knowledgeable staff. If your ever wanting a good, reasonably priced beer, not far from the train station, then this is the place for you! All the staff are great, especially the young guy with the beard and tattoos! Friendly staff, good selection of real ales and ciders, doggy friendly, single malt and gin selection both advertised. Standard menu is good, golden oldies menu for those with smaller appetite, childrens menu plus a specials board. Never been here before ...what a great 'proper' pub, (not the posey type that are all too common). Great selection of drinks and the lager was served beautifully chilled on a baking hot day. Where do I start? From the word go the events team at the embankment have been incredible. We got married here on Friday and everything was perfect. The food was spectacular, and praised by all guests, including guests that often struggle to eat out due to intolerances and dietary requirements. Thank you so much in particular to Shereen who is the best co-ordinator we could have hoped for. Nothing was too much trouble and she was the perfect balance of organised and laid back, allowing us to enjoy the build up to the wedding knowing everything was in capable hands. We had our full day at the embankment, so to put my mind at rest, shereen organised extra appointments and also liaised with suppliers to ensure each time the room was turned around, everything was where it needed to be and looked amazing.
