We've just started using The Baltimore for work stayover. Our first stayover was 27/11. We booked a twin room. We had two nice comfy beds, a small wardrobe, TV, tea/coffee & a really nice bedroom. Got an excellent nights sleep. Only problem with the room was, the TV didn't work & there was a small leak. The staff were excellent & dispite not being able to sort out the TV on the night, offered us a discount the following week on our bar meal. ||||This week, we stayed over on (04/12), we had booked the same twin room but we're offered the suite. We asked if we could have a look & it was really lovely. Huge room with a king-size bed, lovely dining table & chairs. Very comfy sofa & cushions to chill on watching the TV plus tea/coffee etc. The bathroom is huge. Complete with a fab jacuzzi, which we took full advantage of. Fantastic walk in shower & lovely sink/toilet etc.||||On both stays we had an evening meal at the hotel. I opted on both visits for their steak & ale pie with chips, peas & gravy. The pie is absolutely gorgeous & the portions are big. The hubby chose the house burger with cheese & bacon plus chips & side salad. Along with 2 cokes, total cost was £20 (£15 on the second visit with our discount). ||||Included in both stays were breakfast. This consisted of Cereals, fruit juices, yogurts & full English. The hot breakfast includes sausage, bacon, eggs (fried & poached), mushrooms, beans, tomatoes, fried bread & hash browns. There's also white & brown toast,tea/coffee. Very tasty breakfast & certainly filled us up ready for work.||||The staff work really hard & nothing is too much trouble for them. We really enjoy staying at the Baltimore & will do regularly now. Returned to the Baltimore in October.Cheryl and Davina continue to put their heart and soul into what is a relatively new venture for them both. This time around we were afforded the suite ,extremely large with Jacuzzi table suitable for dining,large settee and very clean.Breakfast again was fresh and plenty of it.Although there had been some staff changes since July,The new staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.I wish Both Cheryl and Davina every success for the future.I will be returning and would not hesitate to recommend The Baltimore to friends and family.Best wishes to all until I see you again. Cosy, clean hotel. Friendly accommodating staff. Free off-road parking. The only thing I was unhappy about is that there was no vegetarian alternative offered at breakfast, so I had to have this without the bacon & sausages. Apparently they will offer this if you book in advance which I wasn't aware of. It wasn't busy at all & would have only taken a few minutes to cook a veggie sausage I asked for, & would have been much appreciated :( More...

Arrived 28/11/19 perfected hotel arrived after a long day at work and got the works van (lwb) parked no problem friendly staff always welcoming, got my room keys room was modern and warm and went to get food. Food was 9/10 tasty and arrived hot I eat at the bar. I travel to Middlesbrough 3 or 4 times a year and usually stay in one of the more well known hotel chains.It was an extremely busy period for Hotels at this time as it was Teesside University Graduation week. So hotel availability was at a premium and I admit the Baltimore was never very high on my places to stay.I read the reviews prior to booking and would admit that I was a little apprehensive.I noticed that the bad reviews were in 2018 and some negative reviews this year including whilst I was staying there.It is in need of some redecorating and stair and landing carpets need a deep clean.(But I wasn't sleeping on the carpets).Some of the rooms are very small but when I raised the matter with Cheryl a much larger room was made available to us the next day.The staff at the Baltimore are very customer focussed and extremely helpful,So Cheryl,Davina Johnjohn,Jane and the housekeeping team well done.Nothing was too much trouble and their efforts are very much appreciated.Remember…….You get what you pay for,If you want The Hilton or Jury's then book with them.This is an honest hard working team who are striving to do their best and are relatively new to managing this Business.Although they have many years of experience in the service industry.The current day to day running of the Baltimore by Cheryl and Davina is in its Infancy and I have no doubt they will achieve their goals.Housekeeping No issues cleaned on a daily basis and towels replaced.We only had Breakfast but it was very good..Bar prices are very reasonable.I hope the current team succeed in this venture.I for one will have no hesitation in coming back for two weeks in September.Changes don't happen overnight so keep up the good work and best wishes to you and your staff.Ray Rose and Marie More...
