Garness jones

In 2022, one of the founders of Garness Jones was issued a 'cease and desist' by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors for misleading the public by passing themselves off as a 'Chartered Surveyor' and valuer.

The evidence on which RICS issued the 'cease and desist' included multiple valuation reports and communication issued by Garness Jones Ltd and over a number of years. This was not an isolated one-off incident.

Garness Jones Ltd also demonstrated they had issued non-RICS compliant valuation reports by failing to have them signed off by a qualified professional. Yet perhaps most surprisingly, the firm insisted no wrongdoing had occurred despite the evidence of failing to comply with RICS rules for many years. We deal with most of the management companies in Hull and I have to say we have never had anything but positive experiences when dealing with Garness Jones, I wish I could say that of other local companies. .....sadly not for the vast majority! More...
