David is knowledgeable of specific movements for specialized athletes. I brought in a Minor League pitcher and David provided him with many tools for him to move forward in his career and work outs that will benefit his day to day recovery. 5 Stars in my book!

As a professional golfer who stands all day on her feet, things weren't looking good when I began to get numbness and tingling just standing over the golf ball. David came highly recommended to resolve the issue. After 2 months of working together, I have gained so much more than just resolve over my aches and pains. I have so much more control of my body and as a result, I am more excited than ever to play. He also makes sure to take the time and educate me on various exercises and heighten body awareness so I can reach my potential. I'm always excited to go to such a positive environment like Foundation Fitness and W1N the day! If you want to start W1NN1NG I highly recommend you go check it out! More...

It has been 27 years since I broke my fibula and tore most of the ligaments and tendons in my ankle. Over the last two decades, I have tried just about every regimen of treatment (2 surgeries, 2 plates, 7 screws later, 1 arthroscopy, countless massage therapy session, corticosteroids injections, PRP injections, every type of herbal and medicinal cream, chiropractic manipulation, acupuncture, stability braces, a whole slew of pharmaceuticals, shoe inserts, PT and most recently hyalgan injections) to help treat the constant pain. My orthopedic doctor has told me that I have the ankle of a 180 year old and has been advising me to hold out as long as I can before considering an ankle replacement and/or ankle fusion. Unfortunately as time goes on, I am having a harder time actually walking which is causing me to gain weight, which has added more stress to the ankle, knee and hip. I figured out pretty quickly that life will not wait for me to catch up, as I have two very active children and a wife who loves adventure so inactivity is not an option. Fast forward to a couple months ago when I met David Rubin. He is a conditioning coach/ personal trainer at Lebron’s batting cages in Orlando and he has been helping my son bring his game to the next level. David has been able to help my son understand that the mental and physical preparation for a game is every bit as important as the game itself. I am an old school parent / coach who was raised with the “no pain no gain” mentality. Let me be the 1st to say how wrong that approach is, that is probably the main reason for why I have been walking around like a zombie on The Walking Dead for the last five years. David taught him a better approach. As I watched David explain the proper technique to my son so that he can perform to the best of his ability, a lightbulb went off in my head. I asked David if he had any advice for my situation. I came to find out that he has been through the same kind of trauma, but with his shoulder and was happy to give me an assessment. At this point, I was already at my breaking point and starting to make preparations for an end of year surgery hoping to get some type of quality of life back. Well long story short, it has only been two weeks since I have met with David at his Winners Fitness location in Altamonte Springs and I have learned more about the muscular system and how only working with the ankle was not the right approach. He showed me a better way of exercising and triggering the muscles to get maximum effort. I am happy to report I am able to do things that I have not been able to do in years and am looking forward to what the future brings. Thanks for the “Win” David! More...

This post is long overdue, and I am not just posting it for tchotkes. I started going to W1NNERS Fitness about three months ago after recovery from a ruptured Achilles. My goals were to improve my balance, flexibility and stability and to strengthen my muscles.  My body was all out of alignment due to being non-weight-bearing on 1 foot for several weeks, and my legs and feet were very swollen. In addition I had virtually no stamina. Enter: David. He made me feel comfortable right away (but not too comfortable; he is very straightforward.) He is a pro at assessing which of your muscles are contracting effectively and which are not. In a few short weeks I was able to do some things that I hadn't done in months. He varies what you do each and every session.  David explains things very well so that you understand exactly how to contract your muscles for maximum effectiveness. One size does not fit all, and he customizes everything to the individual. Unlike conventional trainers, he focuses on the quality of the contractions versus mindless reps.  Working with David, I have:1) Gained a much better understanding of the body and bones and muscles.2) Lost about 20 pounds without dieting, just by focusing on eating clean.3) Significantly improved my balance, although I still have a ways to go.4) Began walking much better, with less knee pain and less reliance on my cane.5) Improved the quality of my sleep.6) Am experiencing significant reduction of swelling in my legs and feet.7)Had fun!David's enthusiasm is contagious, and his knowledge level and care and concern for the individual is superb.W1NNER's Fitness is worth every penny and I plan to continue for a long time.Check it out and you won't be sorry.  Being healthy and feeling great is priceless!
