We have had our offices within Forsyth House since January 2011, it is a fantastic location in the heart of the City and the service provided is excellent. Centre Manager Heather and Reception Manager Debra are warm, welcoming, friendly and professional at all times, nothing is too much trouble and they are happy to help with anything we need. The offices are competitively priced considering the premium location, and everything is managed for you. We would highly recommend Forsyth House as an exceptional City Centre location. More...

The HP Edinburgh office has resided at Forsyth Business Centre for two and a half years now and the service has always been first class. We originally selected Forsyth for our Edinburgh base because we felt that the professional service provided was ideal to a global corporate such as HP. We were not wrong. Both Heather and Debra set the professional tone for Forsyth and it is always a pleasure to invite important customers to Forsyth, knowing that they will be expertly looked after. Further, the boardroom style meeting room is ideal for customer presentations, video conference meetings and large group meetings. I would recommend Forsyth to any business, large or small, requiring professional premises in central Edinburgh. More...

I have used the Business Centre at Forsyth House on George Street on several occasions for meetings. The service is always fantastic and the girls (Heather and Debra) always go out of their way to ensure that we are treated well. I would have no hesitation in recommending this venue for meeting rooms or offices. More...

We chose this premises over a large number of others due to it's location on George Street, good sized airy office and roof top terrace. We have been here for 6 months and are going to renew our contract for an additional 9 months. Heather, Debra and Fraser are professional, very personable and helpful. As a result, the centre does not have the "clinical" overly corporate feel which you find elsewhere. I would recommend this premises to any business looking for a prime city centre office. More...

Many thanks for providing a meeting room at very short notice. The quality and comfort of the room, the attention to detail, the ability to assist with my laptop problems are well commended. Centre Manager Heather and assistant Debra could not do enough to help with the smooth running of my meeting with five guests attending. I must add Forsyth House is situated in an ideal location which suited my guests and myself. I would certainly recommend this place for any meeting with the professionalism and dedication of the Staff. More...

What makes a great website?
The art of subtraction...keeping everything succinct, relevant and useful. Design for tomorrow ensures the needs of the User are met for a great experience.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What makes you (or your idea) different? - Research
Where do you see your website, brand or idea in 1 Years time? - Scalability
Which resources are you or an elected official able to provide in the making of a project? - Deadlines
Describe your creative process.
1- Sharing Ideas. Creation of a Design Brief
Be it a meeting, via Skype, boardroom or Coffee house, the aim is to liaise closely to gain better insight into a collaborative process that will result in Project Completion.
2- Concept to Production
With these ideas and information, fundamental concepts can be taken and turned into production works, and altered if need be. For example, 3 logos, website designs or SEO concept/strategies can be provided so that with close research a core concept, strategy & motif can be turned into a production route.
3- Meeting a Deadline, backed up with a strategy.
Once the Creative Work has been delivered, it is important to determine the success of the work, either via analytics, feedback and other external inputs. This approach aids in the creation of new design ideas, and addressing any flaws and improvements that maybe needed.
4- Completion.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
1- Pre-Requisites for smooth productive workflow.
This can range from the level of services required, ie Photography to Web Design, Content Writing to Communication Preferences.
2- Establishing a Solid Line of Communication.
ThunderWerx employs a variety of Collaboration tools to ensure Clients receive 24/7 access to their work files, the project updates and an instant message away from being updated. It is important that clients make every effort to elect a candidate *if not themselves, to maintain a good level of communication.
What do you love most about your job?
The Variety of People, Industry and Ideas that are behind every job. Every Client is an opportunity to absorb and digest what makes them tick, how they want to get from A-B, but most of all, their pursuits and their aversions.
This understanding is what enables ThunderWerx to provide great service, great support and awesome working relationships.
What inspired you to start your own business?
From a Young age, wanting to be the best "something at anything" was an ethos I grasped with both hands. I get my first job on a paper round, "I'm the fastest paper courier in the town" I would think. As the years have progressed and through University it's still always applied. There have been establishments and companies I've worked in, where as an employee I could be "the best employee" but held back by work flows, attitudes toward clients, and lack of progression. Seeing opportunities became harder as an employee, as they are viewed as 'risks' by the employer.
Starting my own business 5 years ago has since see me have clients range from Volos, Greece, to Scottsdale Arizona.
The diversity is one of the most appealing aspects, and the prospect of where things are going, more so.
