Visited today - what helpful staff at the Altami site. Unable to get 12" wide softwood anywhere, guys in yard suggested plywood and managed to source an offcut because to much waste on full sheet. Great customer service.

Always beats the diy chains and even other trade suppliers on price - materials are of top quality. Quick to answer the 'phone and return 'phone calls (how many other suppliers can claim this? ) - pleasant/professional staff. My friend is a builder he always buys his materials from Thorncliffes - so if the trade recommend - you know that you are onto a winner. The real advantage is that delivery is included in the price - other suppliers want a fortune for delivery. I see that there is a poor review on here - the reviewer needs to explain why - as far as I am concerned Thorncliffes are the go to supplier for diy and trade. More...

I phoned Thorncliffe today to price up some timber needed for a job I had planned for my own business.During the call I found them courteous, informative and generally very helpful. I later went down to the base in Altami (Mold) for collection of the materials to be met with the same service I had experienced over the phone, one of the guys behind the counter (there were several) went out of his way to show me where the various things were that I needed and helped me to the car with the timber.Excellent and very recommended!
