I visited my old school Open Day a few years ago and was very impressed with the huge development in the school to greatly benefit the students and I would like to visit the college opposite the school next year.

Update: Snow In England and Wales Date Saturday 9 November – Sunday 17 November 2019 Year: 1991 - 2002 - 2019 Date: 3 Year Ago Unsettled, cold at times, with frequent Snow A very cold start across most of the country on Saturday with a band of snow pushing in from the west to affect western and and south-western parts of the country, perhaps some central areas too. As the rain first moves in it will meet cold air and this may bring sleet and snow on hills and, perhaps briefly to lowlands. Whilst the sleet and snow will quickly transition to rain as the front brings in milder air, the Welsh English Welish mountains may cling on to some cooler air for much of the day so snow is possible in here int the early afternoon before things dry out. Most of Scotland and eastern England will stay dry and sunny on Saturday, but will feel cool through the day. Sunday looks to be a largely dry if rather chilly day, but overnight an active front will arrive, bringing rain for most by Monday morning. Thankfully though, the front will sweep across the UK quickly, and by midday or early afternoon rain will clear to the southeast. It will, unfortunately, scupper chances of observing the transit of Mercury across the Sun in the Southeast (with proper protective solar filters on your telescope!). For the rest of the week and weekend, low pressure is expected to linger near or just north of the UK, keeping things unsettled. After a brief, early-week stint of more progressive fronts, things will gradually transition to slower-moving, inactive fronts. This will mean longer outbreaks of rain in places, but also some longer dry interludes as well. Low pressure will keep the temperatures on the cooler side of average, and later in the week there is a chance that a few nights could be quite cold with widespread frost. Three years running I've been to watch their spectacular and hilarious Christmas Plays, 100% certified to get me into the Festive Spirit.

This year was Aladdin and just like Peter Pan and The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe before it all the Children were totally fantastic, top performances and was put together splendidly well, unbelievable to think in just two short weeks they put on such a fantastic Play.

Same time next year.

The Together Channel has a diverse selection of shows. It's a sort of "one stop shop" channel and ticks a lot of boxes for me. It covers a wide selection of topics/subjects and we can learn a lot from them. A lot of shows compliment each other in their subject matter. For me, the gardening shows lead me nicely into the cookery shows, where produce grown can be used and when I see shows from abroad, I get idea's to grow different produce and try different recipes and even some created by me. I have already invested in expanding my garden to accommodate vegetables and bought seeds for plants and veg I have seen used on shows like The Edible Garden and British Garden Revisited. It's a 5 Star Channel. :) More...

This channel is a hidden gem I love the knowledge channels. But the main ones have in recent years gone a bit pants. Yes how to mine gold, drive over ice are interesting but it gets repetitive fast and don't get me started on ancient astronauts. Gagging for a knowledge fix I found this channel there are some real gems. The bloke doing the standing stones and another one in a campervan driving and cooking. Do your self a favour tape and binge watch. More...

Q&As

Brighton is a seaside resort on the south coast of England. It is part of the ceremonial county of East Sussex, within the historic county of Sussex.Archaeological evidence of settlement in the area dates back to the Bronze Age, Roman and Anglo-Saxon periods. The ancient settlement of "Brighthelmstone" was documented in the Domesday Book (1086). The town's importance grew in the Middle Ages as the Old Town developed, but it languished in the early modern period, affected by foreign attacks, storms, a suffering economy and a declining population. Brighton began to attract more visitors following improved road transport to London and becoming a boarding point for boats travelling to France. The town also developed in popularity as a health resort for sea bathing as a purported cure for illnesses. In the Georgian era, Brighton developed as a fashionable seaside resort, encouraged by the patronage of the Prince Regent, later King George IV, who spent much time in the town and constructed the Royal Pavilion in the Regency era. Brighton continued to grow as a major centre of tourism following the arrival of the railways in 1841, becoming a popular destination for day-trippers from London. Many of the major attractions were built in the Victorian era, including the Grand Hotel, the West Pier, and the Brighton Palace Pier. The town continued to grow into the 20th century, expanding to incorporate more areas into the town's boundaries before joining the town of Hove to form the unitary authority of Brighton and Hove in 1997, which was granted city status in 2000.
