The Butchers Arms has recently been brought back to life after being rescued by a group of enthusiastic locals.
Now owned by a consortium of local villagers and investors, it has been completely refurbished, extended and remodelled.

From the moment my husband and I walked in we felt welcomed. the staff were friendly and quickly found us a table. The menu had a good choice. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. My husband and I have been to this wonderful pub twice now. The first time it was recommended by a friend and we were so impressed with the awesome friendly staff and the food was excellent.
To top it off it was 'Gin Night' - my favorite tipple!
The 2nd time was a few weeks later and again the staff were amazingly friendly, attentive and professional over and over. The food was scrumptious again - no negatives at all..
You must try the rhubarb gin Knickerbocker glory.... hic!!! So lovely and tasty and decadent!

My friend and I decided to come down to the pub for dinner on a Friday evening and as soon as we arrived we were greeted by the staff who were very prompt in helping us and were happy to do so. We were able to sit down for a meal which was divine and cooked to perfection for both myself and my friend. I found the atmosphere of the pub to be very welcoming and friendly. Excellent pub, Highly recommend!
Me, my partner and kids came over for a meal on Saturday evening.
It was very busy so I’m glad I booked.
The wait for the food was about 45 mins so not long considering how busy it was.
I chose the fillet steak (cooked to perfection, high five to the Chef), my partner had he burger which considering he is one of the fussiest people I know, ate every last bit and the kids had the chicken goujons which they loved.
The staff were lovely and very attentive, we felt really welcomed here.
Well done on creating such a wonderful pub.

Happened across this place after walking near Canons Ashby. Entered around 4.30 on a Sunday and pleasantly surprised to find food still being served. Great selection of beers including local brews, and roast dinners enjoyed - local produce for both lamb and pork. Pricing a little steep at £15/roast but quality deserves it.
