I stopped into the Fish Camp yesterday at the recommendation of my baby sister, and it was simply amazing.  Amazing!  I called in to takeout dinner after I did some shopping around Ponce City Market, where this spot is conveniently located, and I was very pleased.  Get the grits!  I repeat:  GET THE GRITS!  They are rich, creamy, and are perfection in each and every way.  They almost have a little bit of a cajun flavor to them, but they are not spicy.  They were a delicious compliment to the Cod Filet and the Sauteed Shrimp on the Po'Boy.  You also have the option to have the shrimp fried, which is more traditional.  Enjoy as you peruse the shops at Ponce City Market.  I'll definitely be back.Oh, and GET THE GRITS!  :-) More...

Lets face it this is not a pretty place, if you have to call them it is not a good day. That said they show up on the day they say they are coming.  They provide a service that very few do, but is really needed.  I wish was prettier but at the end of the day it is a sad business.  They make the best of it. Stiles is located in Ponce City Market and offers an excellent seafood meal (obviously) for a reasonable price. The Shrimp Po' Boy is excellent. It comes with either seared or fried shrimp (6-7) on a toasted roll with lettuce, tomato and aioli. I don't think there's a better shrimp po' boy in Atlanta. The fries are also very good but they're additional. More...

This is our local go to supermarket. We literally come here every other day as we are "in the moment" kind of shoppers. This place truly over every other supermarket in the area has a large variety of international items & goods. Some people have said the place is pricey which it can be at times but as of recently, they have incorporated a large catalog of sales on many items. In addition, when it comes to supermarkets there are always going to be cheaper items than others throughout all of them. We find that this place has decent priced items in comparison to Shoprite most times. For example, this "Thanksgiving" season Superfresh had stuffing way cheaper than Shoprite. So it all depends on someone's atmosphere taste & pocket at this point, if you are someone that is a care-free shopper this place is for you. If you're looking for a place that has everything guaranteed at a cheaper price you might want to check out your options. More...

AMAZING FOOD!! Best bbq that I have ever had. The sauces were great and every single meat and side option is a must. Load up your plate and get as many sides as you can handle.  FYI just watch out for peak lunch rushes and check their hours before showing up ....we tried going one day and it was closed (May have been Monday) More...

Came here for a late lunch/early dinner on a Friday. Had no wait, but around 330 isn't really a busy time at too many places. For my first time I thought one of the meat platters was a good way to try a few different items. Went for my go to of brisket and asked the person serving me to recommend a second meat and he told me to (surprisingly) to with the turkey breast. For my two sides I went with the pinto beans and corn casserole. The brisket was tasty, had a nice mix of fatty and tender pieces. The flavor on its own was solid but I did find myself dipping it in bbq sauce on most bites. The turkey breast was the most disappointing part of the meal. It came out pretty dry and even the seasoned parts were pretty unflavorful. I mostly used the turkey breast as a vessel to try their various sauces. I personally liked their spicy mustard the best. As for the sides, the corn casserole was the star of the meal. It tasted like you soaked a corn muffin in a glass of milk. Went great with the bbq sauce (I acknowledge how weird this mix is), but I can't recommend it enough. The beans were solid, the menu said they came mixed with brisket but there wasn't much to be found. While the food was a mixed bag, I think I'll be coming back here most for their patio and drink specials to catch a game or hang out if I'm not feeling like going downtown. They have a solid space with a couple tvs and a great deal with any 6 beers for 18$ and they have a pretty solid selection of local craft beers. Overall, the food was a mixed bag but worth trying if you're in the area. I think if you live near this part of town it has super high utility as a close by bbq spot and place to grab a drink. My husband and I were first timers here! We will definitely be back again! Loved the atmosphere, very chill and vibrant at the same time. Family friendly for sure! The customer service was ON POINT! Extremely friendly people with great attitudes and service. Lastly the food. OMG the food. The flavor is amazing, the meat is so tender. I recommend getting the brisket! Probably everyone says this but why wait in line outside in 105 degree heat at the hipster places or drive 40 mins out of town when Stiles Switch is just as good if not better.  The brisket is my favorite always tender and juicy.  The Mac Cheese and Corn Casserole is also phenomenal.  Life is finite go to Stiles Switch. This place was packed on a Tuesday night which is always a great sign. I was not disappointed. The brisket and St Louis style pork ribs were fantastic. I always judge good BBQ based on if it needs sauce. I ate these without any sauce and they were delicious. I was bummed I was 1 night too early for the prime rib. I will definitely try and make it back on a Wednesday. More...

This is definitely good bbq. I enjoyed my meal, the line wasn't the worst, and everyone was super nice. But, I didn't feel like it was the best bbq ever either. "Catch of the day" sandwich is always Cod.  But it is always brought in every morning fresh. It's a huge sandwich and comes with a bag of seasoned chips.  Food came out quick in about 10-15 minutes, even for a Saturday afternoon.  In the airy environment, with great people-watching (open kitchen cooks, guests eating oysters, and passersby) - I enjoyed my lunch here at Ponce City Market. Went and got the pork ribs with corn casserole, mac n cheese, and cajun slaw. A little pricy at $21 for only one meat and 3 sides but the food was top notch. The ambiance is great. Like walking into a time capsule. It immediately brought me back to being a kid and eating bbq with family. Food is so dank. Since it's Sunday we ordered the smoked wings in Alabama sauce. Yo these baddies came SAUCED. So good and well made. Nice chargrill on em. Also ordered the two meat, two side plate. The meats were brisket and hot switch sausage hot with fries and tomato and cucumber salad. Absolutely delicious. The Mac and cheese looked damn good, but wanted to a side on the lighter side. I've lived in Houston and Dallas all my life, but Austin is the BBQ capital of my heart. Every time we visit the city, i make sure that i get some bbq somewhere, and this? Is definitely some of the best i've ever had. Not only is the food phenomenal and melty, but here was the first time i've truly experienced the famed southern hospitality. The staff was excellent, customer service went above and beyond and was genuine in ways that you don't see often. The vibe and ambience is cozy and feels intimate in a friendly way. Great BBQ! I've eaten here several times and it has been great for the most part. I love their turkey but often try the different specials. This week I had the prime rib special. It was a little grisly, not the best prime rib I've ever had but it was good. The corn casserole is one of the best things I've ever eaten. Came here for the first time on Saturday and after strolling through the market my family and I stumbled on this gem. We got there around 8:15 and they were very very busy not sure if that's how it normally is or if it was a special day. We waited to sit for a bit so we decided to sit outside. My husband got the cod sandwich it was crunchy and perfect so of course I had a bite and yum! I opted for oysters and the shrimp po boy and it was so awesome! The manager Cory came by and delivered the food and asked if we needed anything else. We asked her if she knew of any dessert spots and she recommended the cookie dough or the five daughters bakery. She was so sweet and attentive and we saw her speaking to other tables asking how their food was. What an attentive staff! We will definitely be back what an awesome first impression. More...

Great barbecue joint! You can smell it before you walk in the door! I thought the meat quality was outstanding! Every thing was moist and delicious! My wife my son and I ordered some ribs, some turkey, some brisket, and a little sausage along with some beans. A little of each to try. I really thought they all were good. We didn't really care for the sauces that were offered, that would be my only slight hesitation. Also ordered one beer and a couple of soft drinks. Total just under $60. I have been following Stiles Switch on Instagram for several years now. This week I finally made it to Austin and the food there did not disappoint. The line was almost to the door but it moved quickly and there was a table available when we got our food. I had my first beef rib and it was nothing short of fantastic. The bark was crispy and delicious and the meat was melt in your mouth good. Also enjoyed the Mac n cheese and corn pudding. My wife got the chopped beef frito pie and it was awesome as well. Food and customer service options right and with excellence - I'm not even kidding. Today was my first time stopping into W. H. The table/bar service was amazing with servers who were prompt and courteous, and just over the top amazing. I won't say WHAT my server did, but she made sure that I was happy with my order, gathered some much needed supplies and even offered to let me taste the grits - which were delicious.  Hats off to the whole team, including the chef who smiled and replied to my comment about how big the fish sandwich was. Returning home for vacation,  and heard Ponce City Market was the place to be, I decided to check it out.  We walked and walked in awe of the changes. My bff talked about the fries. We had to taste the fries, so we sat at the counter top. The server/waitress was excellent.  She had an accent which was peculiar; but kept us laughing because she told us the order of fries were so big, 3 people could eat from it. I love fresh oysters but I rarely have exotic or interesting ones because I usually eat oysters when some restaurant is having $1 oyster happy hour or something like that. But I went to W. H. Stiles for lunch yesterday and I think I'll never be the same. Exotic, interesting oysters are so amazing. Nothing like the ones you get at $1 oyster happy hours. We tried 2 oysters each of the first 6 on the list. First of all, you can track the ones you are eating because they put them in order based in your printed receipt. So we went through all of them slowly comparing tasting notes. Each one was delicious and tasted fresher than if it had just been pulled from the sea. They all have distinctive flavors. We loved them all. Then we had the lobster sandwich. I was skeptical because I had never paid $32 for a sandwich before. But the first bite told me it was totally worth it. It seemed like they had crammed an entire lobster between the soft rolls of amazing bread. They mayo was tangy and definitely home made. We were give the option of hot or cold and I chose cold. I think it was a good choice. I'm not sure how the mayo would hold up to heat. We had a side of addictive corn muffins. Our skilled and attentive waitress Kamaria referred to them as "crack muffins" because they are so addictive. We agreed. So amazing. We washed everything down with a couple of pints of draft Sea Quench Ale, which was expertly paired with the seafood.  Anne Quatrano continues to prove herself one of the best and longest yielding assets to the Atlanta food scene. I highly recommend checking this place out. It's not cheap (our lunch was $100 for two people) but totally worth it. I'm just waiting for an excuse to go again. More...

My all time favorite BBQ. My guys took me here when I came in for business a couple of years ago. Boy, am I glad they did. There is magic in their food for sure. My favorite thing there is their colossal beef rib. Perfection. The meat is perfectly seasoned and falls off the massive rib bone. Each bite is a flavor explosion in your mouth. I have yet to finish one myself. It is HUGE and worth the price tag. I have had several other meats there and they all get the same high marks. Their sides are awesome as well. Their Mac N cheese is excellent, but the real star of the show is the corn casserole. It is like a party in my mouth with every bite. The people who work there are friendly and engaging as well. I think what sells you when you walk in the door is the smell. It is exactly what you expect from BBQ place. Smoky and woodsy. The one thing I did notice was they raised their prices since I started going there. The couple of bucks increase makes this place still worth going to. Go there and eat and eat. You will thank me for sure. More...

Stiles Switch is decidedly the best in town. Why wasn't it on the "Barbecue for your whole face" list? When I go there, I make sure to arrive and stand outside the door before their opening time. It's either that or do the Franklin shuffle because the line will be long. More...

The best Oyster and Shrimp Po Boys we've had in a long time, and we just got back from the beach!! The people next to us had a great looking crab cake and lobster roll! The Cole slaw was excellent. We had the chips, which are a bag of UTZ chips with the Old Bay Seasoning. The fries looked good. Highly recommend if you are at Ponce City Market. We will definitely come back! More...

Friends and neighbors, I want to talk today about whatever Sorcery it is that's going on over at the Wil Stiles store.  Sorcery!  Yes, I said sorcery! Here's the deal:Every time I've shopped at Wil Stiles, my first impulse is to dismiss what I see as "too much" -- there's a boldness and an aggressiveness to the clothes Wil carries, especially the fabrics -- but when I actually try that shirt on, or slip into that suit coat, or pull up those pants, I marvel at just how amazingly perfect it is on me.Every. Single. Time.At first, I just thought it was the mirrors at the store -- those mirrors get paid to lie, after all -- but then I noticed how great I looked in puddles, the rearview mirror of my car, even my husband's eyes.  Creepy! It must be something woven into the clothes, the extraordinary clothes, which exist on that razor-sharp edge where conservative and libertine mix, dance and somehow balance.  It is exhausting to even imagine what being a buyer for this store is like; there is a very specific style and taste to the clothes that Wil Stiles carries, and you won't find it online or anywhere else.I have shopped at Wil Stiles for years -- the clothes I got married in, and hope to be buried in, came from Wil -- and every time I walk out onto Palm Canyon I am a better-dressed man than when I walked in. Wil and Molly are the best.Recommended with enthusiasm, and with gratitude More...

We've passed this place many times and finally decided to check it out. We were so pleased we did. My husband got a 1 meat plate with potato salad and beans. He said the potato salad was the best he's had in a long time.I went with the Frito pie which is topped with brisket. Oh my gosh! It was so delicious. The brisket my husband got (they ask if you want lean or fatty) fell apart in his mouth. He got the fatty. My brisket on my Frito pie paired perfectly with the saltiness of the Fritos. The best part? Eat right away. Get in line to choose your plate, then add your sides.  We also had beers, of course. The service was quick and friendly. They play older country music and have seating outside. We'll definitely be back for more amazing bbq. More...

Holy Cow....or pig.Awesome bbq.  Definitely get the 3 meat platter so you can try an assortment.  We got the ribs, brisket, and spicy sausage.  All really good. The ribs are St. Louis style.  I really don't know what that means or the difference, but I think it is a dry rub as they aren't dripping with bbq sauce.  Normally I prefer bbq sauce, but these were really good. For side dishes we got the fries, and spicy slaw. Tasty.  Don't forget to ask for pickles and jalapenos....both are free but they may not give to you if you don't ask. There's a bunch of outdoor seating and a ring toss game.  Lots of indoor seating.Overall good place for lunch or dinner. If you haven't tried it...you have no idea what fabulousness awaits you. I'm pretty picky about my bbq being that I lived in KC before moving to TX and do a fair amount of smoking/bbq at home so it is HUGE that we love this place so much. We first came upon them while vising the Austin Food & Wine Fest over the weekend. We were so impressed by the pork shoulder they served at the event that we had to try it before we left town. WOW!!!You walk in and there's a line waiting to order and you think "Is it worth the wait" but you also realize...they wouldn't be waiting if it wasn't really good. So we waited and the line went fairly quickly. They let you sample the brisket and that gets your taste buds watering for sure! Many items to choose from including beef ribs, brisket, smoked sausages, turkey, chicken, pork ribs, pulled pork and of course all the sides!! My husband tried the beef rib...it was large enough to feed us both but we didn't stop there....we also tried the brisket and turkey. All of which were so absolutely fantastic that I would definitely go again. I'm typically a pork rib type of person but they may just convert me as that beef rib was to die for!!! YUM YUM YUM!!We also tried the corn casserole, cucumber and tomato salad, coleslaw and potato salad.Won't be the cheapest for sure but it will be a great value and so very worth every penny!!! Highly recommend! More...

O.M.G.BEST BEEF RIB MY MOUTH HAS EVER HAD THE PLEASURE OF TASTING.I had Stiles Switch on my Yelp bookmarks when planning my trip to Austin for my 30th bday with some girl friends, but we were staying downtown and it wasn't the most convenient location during most of our trip. However, on Sunday we ventured a bit outside to go somewhere, and found ourselves only 2 miles away from here. It was meant to be!We got here around 5pm or so on a Sunday, and a line was starting but not too bad - it was to the door and took about 30 minutes or so to get to the counter; it moved fairly quickly. The men at the counter cutting meats were very nice and personable, and upon finding out that we were in town visiting for my birthday, offered to give me a free beer. Unfortunately this being our third day I was beer'd out at this point and had to save my appetite for BBQ instead so I didn't take them up on the offer - so they then offered me a free dessert (again I knew I was too full and wouldn't even be able to finish my food, but I thought it was so nice of them to offer).I ordered the spicy sausage and brisket, but when we were waiting one of the guys gave my friends and I each a sample of their beef ribs, which are on the menu as "The Cadillac of the menu" and DANG THEY AIN'T LYIN! One of my friends was the first to snatch her piece up and as soon as she put it in her mouth she just shouted "OH MY GOD!" so then my other friend and I of course had to try our sample immediately as well. My piece fell apart as soon as I bit into it, it was so tender and flavorful. I immediately regretted no ordering the Cadillac of the menu, but was thankful I got to at least try it. Hands down the best thing I ate on that trip. I will add that their corn casserole was also amazing, and fries had a great seasoning on them.Great food, great service, great down-home place. More...

I came here for a friends birthday and they wanted BBQ. You stand in line and they sometimes give you a free sample of meat! How cool and who doesn't love freebies? I ordered the three meat plate and two sides. Brisket and spicy sausage, corn casserole and Mac n cheese. I would say this was a 3.5 out of 5 stars on food alone. The brisket was a little lean/dry and I usually love extra moist. Flavor was good though. The workers were nice, the line moved quickly and the table wasn't sticky. Due to these positive factors I have bumped up to a 4/5 star review. I'd say this is an average bbq joint. I'd probably go back if I were invited but it's not good enough for me to go on my own. So-suave threadsHyper-helpful staffPalm Canyon Drive pricesI got sticker shock here, because I am a suburban yutz who thinks Banana Republic is all the fashion you need. However, I'm glad I browsed, and indulged. I got impeccable and diligent service from the moment my wife and I darkened the shop's door.  Not hovering, just blithely attentive. Knew my size by eye, but sent me to the dressing room with a range. Made a few how-to-wear-this recs that wouldn't have occurred to me, and will prove valuable. Many who shop Wil Stiles and its ilk regularly will know to ignore my review. However, my fellow suburban yutzes, I would encourage you to browse and grab some panache if you darken Wil Stiles' door - you'll be a cooler customer for having done so. More...

This place is a great bbq restaurant. It has all the meats that you expect out of a bbq place. Brisket, Ribs (beef or pork), sausages, etc. The way they charge for meats is by weighing out the meat sliced then charging you for the weight listed times the price of the meat. I got the brisket and pork rib for my first time here. The brisket was succulent and the pork rib had a great smoky flavor. I got 1/4 lb of both and one side the total came out to about 14 dollars. I would visit this place again and add this restaurant to the list of bbq restaurants to try in Austin. More...

Hands down some of the best Texas BBQ that I've had in a LONG time. The atmosphere was great! It all embraced a southern, BBQ vibe. They also have an outdoor patio where we enjoyed some live music while we ate.The wait for the food wasn't too long. Only about 5-10 minutes which is expected for an Austin hot-spot. We got brisket, ribs, chicken, sausage, and turkey! (Basically everything and every side possible). All delicious and cooked to perfection! Ribs had a Texas bite, smoke ring on the brisket was impeccable, and the sausage was juicy. I loved it so much I brought some back home to Wisconsin and my friends said it was the best BBQ they've ever had.The service was very welcoming and accommodated our long, complex order. OK, I admit the only reason Jamie W. and I came in here was that it was the closest place to our hotel listed as one of the top stops on a Palm Canyon Drive stroll. I buy my clothes at UNIQLO and even Costco if I can find my size under the massive piles of the exact same item. You won't find the exact same items here as every shirt and suit looked quite unique. If you're into "Look at me!" fashion with bold colors and even bolder patterns, Wil definitely has it in this retro-modern clothing store dedicated to people who want to make a statement at a Palm Springs cocktail party. Been here a couple of times now, and have enjoyed the food both times! We come here for the seafood, especially the oysters as they have a great selection of oysters from East and West. The restaurant is open layout. We usually sit at the oyster bar with some friends when we go. We've tried the following:Dozen oystersLobster Bisque (cup) $9New England Clam Chowder (cup) $7Steelhead Trout Poke $14Crispy Calamari $11Red SangriaTheir oysters are fresh. I like the ones from the East the best. The lobster bisque was rich, creamy, and had nice chunks of lobster. The clam chowder was rich and creamy as well. Both soups had great flavor. The calamari was good, nothing crazy. The poke came with sticky rice, teriyaki, sesame, onion, cilantro, ginger scallion relish, and avocado. The ingredients looked and tasted fresh. The red sangria was refreshing with a hint of sweetness. We've had great service each time. During our last visit, one of our servers was super helpful and even gave us great recommendations. The prices are a bit high, especially for the apps. The oysters range from $2.40 to $3.55 each depending on where it's from. Regardless, we will continue to come back for the oysters if we're at PCM! We went here yesterday afternoon to take some friends out for lunch as a thank you for an airport pick-up. How have we never been here before? It's so smokin' good.We got a holy trinity meat platter to share with mac-n-cheese, cole slaw, and cucumber-tomato sides. The brisket was nice and tender and the pork ribs were seasoned well with a good char on them. But to our surprise and delight, the best meat on the plate was the cheddar-jalapeno sausage. SO GOOD! Juicy, moist, flavorful. Is it the best sausage that we've had at a BBQ joint in Texas? Quite possibly. Sorry, Franklin. The mac-n-cheese was nice and creamy, and the coleslaw was refreshing, but the tomato-cucumber thing had gotten way too soggy. Finally, we've got to mention that there's some legit banana pudding here. Most banana puddings have that alarmingly fake neon yellow color and the consistency of melted rubber. This was real custardy pudding with actual banana flavor! One complaint though: They didn't give the nilla wafers long enough to sit with the pudding and whipped cream; you can tell because they were too crunchy--the point is to let them sit in there long enough (usually overnight) to soften. We've decided that this is going to be our new nearby go-to place to bring visitors who don't want to deal with long lines (previously used to be Black's BBQ on Guadalupe). We're very happy to have tried and enjoyed it so much. More...

Not a single complaint. Can't believe I waited this long to eat there. Tender ribs, meat peeled off the bone. Brisket was tender and juicy. Their potato salad was fantastic, some of the best I've had at a bbq joint. Mac and cheese was the creamy, sticky kind of goodness you'd want and expect from a decent Mac. Sauce was runny but full of flavor and perfect for dipping. The line moved fast and the staff was super friendly. They had plenty of beer options. Their Dr. Pepper was perfect. Obviously if you're traveling to Texas, you're going to try a ton of BBQ! There were SO many options when it came to searching BBQ on Yelp. We tried Stiles Switch after trying Franklin's & honestly I think Franklin's is totally overhyped. We got to Stiles Switch around 6pm on a Wednesday and only waited a few minutes before ordering at the counter. I do have to say one thing I was very surprised with was the hospitality. Everyone was so welcoming and accommodating that it made our visit that much more enjoyable. We ordered some moist brisket & a beef rib, and let me tell you this... two weeks later, we're still salivating over how amazing it was. The brisket & beef rib literally melt in your mouth! We should have taken some brisket with us on the plane back to San Diego. Also, if you're contemplating what sides to get, the corn casserole is delish! Nice and light, but lots of flavor. Another great BBQ restaurant in Austin. This is one of our go-to places for friends that visit from out of town. (As much as we would love to take everyone to franklin's - no one usually has the time. ) Everyone we have brought here loves the food! The brisket is flavorful and moist - even the turkey is great (never dry and tons of flavor). The sides are perfectly done as well. There's always more food than we can eat in one sitting. The peach cobbler is a great desert for any meal! The only draw back is that the place has gotten quite popular so the last few times we went there was quite a wait. Where do I begin with Stiles Switch? First, by kicking myself for not eating there sooner!! Stupid, stupid man...I've lived in the area for 15 years well before this location was open and just have simply passed it by, overlooking them in their low key Violet Crown plaza, unassuming but beckoning, beckoning with their cool signage. So, we pop in to check it out...humble, country rustic and an incredibly friendly staff. Just a treat to be greeted by some masterful carvers and willingness to let you taste it all and make recommendations. And?! Well, we ordered with our eyes much to our stomach's pleasure and chagrin...maybe more aptly, our mouth's full on bar-b-que-gasm pleasure and our stomach's chagrin. Our first order was the "Cadillac" (which they removed from the menu I discovered on our second visit)...but, they give you a bronto-sized beef rib that easily serves two and is like eating butter, milky/beefy/creamy/tender butter of goodness. It's the best beef rib I've ever had in my many years of cooking, serving, hosting and writing about, not to mention EATING food!!THE BEST! Tell you what, order one...then tell me I'm wrong. And, if I am...I'll eat yours for you. Ok, next was the sausage and pulled pork...the sausage was typical, had a nice snap to it, but nothing crazy awesome. A good filler meat. However, the pulled pork was also intoxicatingly fabulous...see above beef rib descriptions and, insert pork! OMG! It's like the fellas at the front just gave us the Pink Cadillac along with the Cadillac...yes!Sides were delish with crispy coleslaw, creamy Mac and cheese topped with the cholesterol bomb of poured melted cheddar cheese - a meal unto itself,  and corn casserole, the only knock would be to steer clear from the barracho beans, kinda plain and bland...but, not a complaint, just needed bacon, salt and jalapeños added to it to elevate its profile to the rest of your food's standards. The beans just struggle to keep up with the rest of the high end quality, that's all. Will gladly come back and plan to bring out of state visitors instead of driving all the way out to Salt Lick...and refuse to stand in line at Franklin's, which is simply not happening, especially with Stiles so close and readily available!! I'm on to you now Ole Switchy Pig...see you soon! More...

I hear so much talk about Franklin's BBQ being the best and while I can't dispute that it's tasty, I also can't bring myself to wait hours on end for food. Enter Stiles Switch. This place has an enormous, private guest dining area which is perfect for renting for your large work events. Also, the food is absolutely amazing! I've never gotten so excited over potato salad in my life, but somehow they manage to make all their foods a focus in the kitchen, rather than favoring the meats and slapping together some average sides. This also satisfies all the vegan/vegetarian attendees you may have in addition to the veggie kabobs they can offer. I love this place and will continue to come back! More...

This place was GREAT.  We met up with our friends on a recent Saturday afternoon.  Our server (I wish I had her name) was freaking awesome.  Despite two families with four kids under 5 she was so patient, so attentive, so kind, so thoughtful.....I couldn't have asked for better.  The food was fantastic.  I usually prefer sides over the actual bbq lol, but I wolfed it all down.  The sides were delicious.  I ordered my kids a grilled cheese.  They didn't eat it because they're 3 and 5 (*eye roll*), but I did lol.  It was delicious.  Husband ordered the wings.  He loved it.  It was super cold outside but it's always nice to have a space for the kids to run around.  It makes me so happy that the Belterra Village has wonderful options with families in mind!! All I can say is a must go for BBQ had the ribs, sausage and brisket all was amazing but the brisket was over the top great we went back for seconds on the brisket! Had the Cajun slaw and only complaint on it is too many purple onions and maybe they should cut them smaller the onion just over powered the actual slaw taste but I still give them 5 stars ( they will give you tasters also)The special the night we went was smoked prime rib we did a taste of it and it was really good! Confession: I went here four times within a three week span. Yes, you heard it right. The guy recognized me by the third trip. I was hooked. The atmosphere is great, tables are always cleaned and wiped, food is amazing, the service is outstanding. During all of my times here I've tried the brisket, pork ribs, pulled pork, spicy sausage, chicken, and gigantic beef ribs. All of that is seriously tasty, but the one thing that has me hooked is the corn casserole!! Who thought of that and how do I get more? More...

The brisket is hit or miss - it's usually moist but a few times it has been dry for me. My favorite part is the corn casserole. So good. I also like their potato salad. I get all of this plus a sausage and it's about 15 bucks which is worth it if you're hungry for some good barbecue. More...

This was recommended to me by a co-worker from the area. The first thing they did when I said it was my first visit was let me sample everything. I chose the half pound of prime rib with two sides. I just got off the plane in Austin when I was looking for BBQ.  It was right between lunch and dinner, about 4PM - so I headed right over here and I was not disappointed at all.  There was still a full selection of meats (unlike others where they are all sold out by 2PM).I walked right up, got brisket and pork ribs and I was not disappointed at all.  The brisket was the highlight - perfectly made and there was not a need for any kind of sauce at all.  When in doubt, you can always ask to try a bite.  Food is perfect, hands down. The ambiance is charming - fitting to a BBQ restaurant and very chill.  The staff were friendly and right to the point, parking was plentiful, and at the time I came in, the service was very fast.  If you're in town, regardless of what time, Stiles will always be here for you! The prices are high.  First time here.  I tried the Brisket, Beans, and tomato/cucumber salad.   They have homemade pickles if you like them.  The brisket was cut very thick.  The beans will not be for everyone as they have jalapeño peppers in them.  The salad was good as long as it is eaten fresh.  The location is perfect.  It has the Austin Texas flavor.  There are TVs for viewing if you like. I would also recommend you get here before 7pm, or fight a larger crowd for a table. This restaurant has limited seating and parking. Hot damn this was great BBQ. Ok, so I don't usually eat meat but there weren't any other options. And once again, damn, it was worth every bite. First: homemade pickles served with onions. Don't mind if I do. Crazy tasty. Then White Wonder Bread slices. I knew it was going to be good when the basic white bread course comes around. Woo-hoo, here comes the homemade mac and cheese. Delicious. A gravy boat of BBQ sauce to pour a bit onto that mac and cheese. Goodness. But wait, there's more: slap your mama because the brisket fell apart as we tried to lift it when a fork. Then the ribs were huge, tender, and perfectly smoked. What what what? Where am I? TEXAS BABY!Excellent service to 100 people at a time. Trays of meat delivered one right after another. Boom. It was a girl's night out to see a concert at City Winery.  We decided to stop here for a bite. I ordered the clam chowder (very tasty) and 5 raw oysters and 5 little neck clams. The oysters were small but were very fresh and tasty. Now the little neck clams were so small I thought it was a joke. And at .75 each it was crazy. I grew up in Baltimore and I have never seen clams so small. I kept thinking there must be a law against harvesting anything that small.  One girlfriend got the crab cake. Had some friends visiting and we were to lazy to go our normal BBQ places so we gave this place a shot.  We looked at the menu online and were happy with the variety.  Their prices are a little steep but that's what you pay for convenience.  We had the brisket, it was very moist and it had a nice smoke ring.  The pork ribs were tasty but not quite fall of the bone.   The spicy sausage lacked heat but was otherwise flavorful.  We carried out and the food traveled well.  Next time we might eat there... Is this place overpriced? Yes, but so is every other restaurant in PCM. The oysters and clams here taste pretty fresh considering there's no oceans nearby and most of the time (not always) they're decent sized too. Of the menu items I've tried the Vietnamese Catfish salad is really good, especially for the price. The Tom Kha is tasty but not large or tasty enough to rationalize the high price. The catch of the day sandwich is pretty good. The best thing here hands down though in my opinion is the kalamari. Very generous portion, great and light crunch on the breading and I love the addition of chickpeas. The service is nice and fast and it's kind of cool seeing the food get made behind the counter. Stiles Switch is consistent. You can expect to get the same brisket, sausage, side dishes etc, the way you like it every time. With that said, there is not too much on the menu that really stands out from other BBQ joints. The best thing on their menu is by far their brisket. No sauces needed, you can really taste the distance of flavors just from the meat itself. One major downside is the queue times if you're in a hurry. Especially on weekdays during the lunch hour, the location of this spot is central to a number of companies around the area, this place starts to get flooded by 11 or sooner. More...

There are so many legendary BBQ places in Austin so it was hard to pick just one for our visit, but we settled on Stiles and we were not disappointed. We got the spicy sausage, smoked chicken, pulled pork, ribs, brisket, Mac and cheese, and fries. Everything was full of flavor, a little on the spicy side (I am a wimp) but my partner loved the spice level. My favorite by far was the chicken and the brisket. I personally didn't care for the ribs as it wasn't quite fall off the bone tender, and I would skip the mac and cheese next time. Now the sauce... being from Kansas I am used to the thicker and sweeter KC style, which this was not but it was still pretty good, but the meat was so well seasoned it didn't need it at all. Our meal also came with a small cup of another tomato based sauce, not sure what it was but I liked it more than the sauce available at the table. I really appreciate the food being served on trays, that's really the only way BBQ should be ate in my opinion. There were three guys at the front of the line serving the food up and you could just really tell that they like their job and have pride in the restaurant so I appreciate that.  Actually every employee was great, there was always someone coming around to pick up trays and I never saw any table dirty longer than a minute. Definitely would come back. More...

Great BBQ and love the "run down" look of the venue, really brings out the classic joint feel. I went in with an empty stomach, loaded up on the 3 meat combo (Texas trifecta) with Mac n cheese and tater salad. Let me tell you something, that was one tummy filling meal. I barely had enough room for their home made peach cobbler aka mode. Brisket was super tender and a great bark with accompanying smoke ring. The ribs were near perfect with a sweet rub that needed no sauce. The sausage was straight up Texas style with a great snap with each bite, nicely smoked, and an awesome grease-to-beef ratio. Mac n cheese was gooey but the tater salad had a great taste in whatever they used to mix it. This was another recommendation, being very high on the list. While in Texas, I figured I would pretty much try every BBQ place I possibly can, until I can't do BBQ anymore (the day I had to go back). Needless to say this place was amazing! Although we wanted to try to get into Franklins, I didn't get to, but did learn that this is very similar. I can't speak on which one was better, but I can say this place was amazing! We didn't eat inside, as we had to meet up with some friends. So, we ended up getting everything to go. We were able to sample their pulled pork, brisket, port and beef ribs. For the sides, we tried beans, potato salad, mac & cheese, as well as their cucumber tomato salad (a healthy mix to offset some of the other carbs). Just like few other places we tried, the BBQ sauce was very runny, but delicious all the same. I'm assuming this is probably a Texas thing, as from some research that is the normal consistency. Having had that, I don't know how I'll be ever able to go back to the original, thick BBQ sauce I've become accustomed to my whole life. The meat was so flavorful, with great spice and rub combinations, while also falling off the bone and very juicy. I'll definitely be back for some more, when I come this way again! If I did live in Austin, this would probably be my lunch every single day, with leftovers saved for dinner. I highly recommend this establishment and everything it offers and stands for. Go check it out today, if you haven't been! More...

The negative reviews here are comical. It's quality seafood, prepared correctly, and as fresh (if not more so) as anything I've had in Atlanta. The portions were ample. My wife and I shared the lobster bisque, a dozen oysters, calamari and the crab cake. Everything was fantastic. The mignonette for the oysters was crazy good, and it was a lot of fun trying 6 varieties and comparing their tastes. Calamari was excellent-- the pickled red onions and fried chickpeas were a new and delicious twist. Crab cake-- seeing people complain about the price is funny. It was 95% lump crab meat, and delicious. Go to the store and see if you can put together the same portion for the price.  Service was fantastic-- few places offer genuine hospitality these days. It was our first trip, and everyone was friendly and helpful. Can't wait to come back. More...

This is truly the most healing massage I’ve ever had and I’ve had many over the years. The man is a vessel and literally removed in one session, pain I’ve suffered with for over 40 years. He is truly (although he doesn’t like when I say this), a true healer. THAT IS MY EXPERIENCE AND IM GOING TO SAY IT. He is a lovely individual, friendly, kind, spiritual and genuine. His energy, his power stunned me as soon as I entered the massage room. When I tell you I have ALWAYS suffered AGONIZING PAIN ALL MY LIFE, my words cannot do the pain justice. He removed 95% of it in one session and I am pain free for years now. I’m not one who leans towards “Magical Thinking”. This wonderful man, Keith, did for me what a lifetime of doctors could not. I love Stiles Switch!!My fiancee and I first visited a few months ago when we were looking for some good BBQ. I'm a sucker and always on the hunt for good bbq ribs and of course brisket! ! OMG theirs is FANTASTIC!! Like any other self respecting Texas BBQ joint you can buy by the pound but we chose one of their plates. We both got the 2 meat plate which you can also choose turkey or sausage, I got the brisket and ribs and my honey got the ribs and turkey. I tried the pinto beans which were DELICIOUS and the mac and cheese, also yummy! The fiancee got cole slaw and fries, the guys that take your order suggested the spicy slaw which he didn't like too much, a bit vinegary, but they were nice enough to switch it out for regular cole slaw which was really tasty for us. You also are offered their homemade pickles and onions and bread. LOVE THIS PLACE!!  Great clothes, great style, great owners.  I've spent WAY to money too much  money here but it's worth it.  I misjudged my size on a couple pairs of shorts, and they were happily exchanged with no hassle.  DEFINITELY check out this place.  Perfect for gay men.  You'll get a lot of comments on your shirts and shirts.  Wil's sense of style is amazing. Let's see... I'm not a big fan of country music, being in Texas makes me nervous and I probably eat meat once or twice a month. ... if you gave me the choice of never eating here again or becoming a carnivore, buying a pick up truck, with a gun rack, and moving to texas so I could join a country band... I'd take the latter. Yee haw. I have one criteria for BBQ. How soft and juicy the meat is. The pulled pork and brisket were the consistency of butter and packed with smoky flavor. So much so, I barely had to put the BBQ sauce on top. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the Austin area. F'ing amazing. More...

We absolutely loooved Stiles Switch BBQ!! Their bbq was fresh, hot and delicious! We got the 3 meat plate, which comes with 2 sides and it was perfect for two adults who aren't completely staaaaarving. We ordered pork ribs, pulled pork and brisket along with the corn casserole and the Mac and cheese. I really enjoyed the mustard that's found on the table. Everyone in our party loved the corn casserole and the brisket and pork ribs but I'd order everything again! It was also a great deal! We went on a Saturday at lunchtime and it wasn't too bad of a wait/line at all! More...

We were on the Brisket trail and Stiles Switch was on the list.  Interesting history on this place which made the trip that much more interesting.  The folks that work there were very nice and fun to joke around with.   It was game day at UT when we visited so everyone was catching a quick bite before the game.   We tried a number of things so we could get a well rounded opinion of the place.  Overall the food was good.  I thought that the Roasted Turkey was by far the best.  Very moist and just melted in your mouth.  The Brisket was good but didn't have the flavor of other Austin BBQ places.  The sides were good. Had the potato salad, cucumber/tomato salad and mac n cheese.  All were done nicely.  The peach cobbler was pretty tremendous.  Overall a quality stop. More...

We tried to visit franklins, but saw the line and laughed and had heard good things about stiles switch. Overall pretty satisfied. We had the brisket, ribs, and turkey breast. It was interesting, because I think the style was different than traditional Texas BBQ. The sauces were different and the fact that everything was thinly sliced seemed different. I think everything was really good. Out of the two bbq places visited I preferred the other one slightly more, but this was a very good experience. The food was great, the sides were really good which seems to be the most difficult part for BBQ places to succeed at. I would recommend it for sure. More...

Delicious. Soft, juicy brisket; spicy sausage; and literally the best potato salad I've ever had (sorry mom). Every time I come in, I want to try something new: a sandwich, or the turkey breast, or the Texas Frito Pie that I can tell is absolutely delicious just from the combination of those 3 words alone, but I always end up with the exact same 2 meat plate with the same sides. Yeah, you can wait in line all morning for bbq, or you can come here and EAT! More...

As a disclaimer, I will admit I'm not the biggest fan of BBQ despite growing up in the South. However, how was I supposed to go to Austin and not try the BBQ? I was incredibly taken back by the food here! The meat were so tender and I had to reconsider my stance on BBQ. I ordered the two meat plate (turkey and brisket) and had fries and Cajun slaw as my sides. Personally, I prefer the turkey over the brisket but you can't go wrong with either. The fries were okay, but the slaw was flavorful. I'm a huge fan of sauce and loved the Mango Habanero sauce left on the tables. In addition, service was quick and friendly especially for a newbie like me! More...

We stopped in for the first time today. We are impressed and will definitely return. I got chicken and the mild sausage with corn casserole and cucumber tomato salad. The chicken was juicy. The sausage was good. The sides were tasty. My husband got brisket, ribs, beans, and fries. The meat was very tender and tasty. We prefer it more blackened but it was still good.  The fries were home made and fantastic.  The beans were great. The chocolate banana pudding is oh soooo good. More...

The owner went out of his way to allay my concerns and accomplished his goal.  Total gentleman who provided a detailed update as to the market's hygiene controls which are difficult to maintain in such a congested city.  I have to say their products are being enjoyed by everybody in the household. Came in on a fairly bustling Saturday evening.  The wait was about 20-30 minutes but the line moved quickly.  Ample seating.  Members of our party had a variety and all found tasty.  The show stopper was the beef ribs, which were fall off the bone tender.  The pork ribs took a little more work.  Sides were average.  Overall, above average for BBQ places of similar setup! An Austin treasure that I've been anxious to try.  I suggest coming early in the day.  Our trip last July made us sad because they were out of meat.  When they run out, they are out!  We were able to come back at an earlier time in the day and got our fill.  Lines are plentiful at Stiles Switch so come prepared to wait.  I assure you, it's worth the wait.  They have memorabilia on the wall from movies that were made in the area.  And, it's a great time to put away the devices and have a nice conversation.  I had a lovely time catching up with our son.  We both had a brisket plate.  Next time I'll shake it up with sausage. The sides are also so yummy.  We sat outside.  Very nice.  We'll be back!  Enjoy! More...

Always delicious and super service. Went in tonight for brisket plate and beef rib plate. Usually, we can't finish one rib but, tonight, there were a lot of inedible parts to it. I brought it back to the guy and he was so incredibly nice and didn't make me feel whiny. He gave us a new rib and it was amazing (and we ended up taking half of it home as it was so big). Great customer service More...

I wish I could say 3.5 honestly....  but I rounded up.   I have eaten here probably 10 times and have had a wide variety of experiences.   The BBQ quality has varied from over cooked to perfect and in between.   I will say though it has more often been good then bad.   If you are on this side of town near north Lamar I would make a point to try this place out, it's worth a stop! When I think of the South, I think of barbecue. The same goes for Texas, so rightly one of the first things I sought out upon arriving in Texas was a good BBQ restaurant. We came here based on Yelp reviews. When you enter, you're greeted with a delicious smokey BBQ smell. They offer a variety of meats: pulled pork, brisket, sausages, chicken, etc. They also offer a variety of sides: beans, fries, Mac and cheese, corn casserole, slaw.I got a plate with pulled pork, brisket, Mac and cheese and corn casserole. The pulled pork was good. The brisket was a bit lacking in flavor and I got a very fatty piece. The corn casserole was delicious. I highly recommend it.Everything was prepared very well. None of the meats were dry and the sides we had were all good.Worth a try. More...

I've eaten here a couple of times and I go with my safe choice, the shrimp Po boy. It's really good. On this visit I ordered the shrimp Cajun style and it was Deeliiicccciiiooouuusss! Now the item that surprised me was the cornbread with honey butter. That's a MUST try. The cornbread is cake like which is my favorite and the honey butter was the perfect addition, I don't think that I'll be able to eat cornbread without it now. I look forward to exploring the menu, and will probably make excuses to go just for the cornbread. More...

Yes, it's true! Best brisket in Austin and possibly Texas. What really blew my skirt up is the potato salad. OMG, absolutely, hands down, the best I've ever tasted. I love the dill flavor and have tried to recreate, to no avail, so I must continue to go to the restaurant. More...

Let me start by admitting that I'm simultaneously a BBQ snob and not that big of a fan of BBQ. Mainly because I think most BBQ tastes cheap and is usually tough and or overhyped/overpriced. I haven't tried everything here but what I have tried, has been consistently delicious. Like jaw cramping, emotional eating, inner fat kid loving, kind of yummy. Things I recommend: pulled pork with garlic shaker on top, fries with queso (you read that right), turkey sandwich, brisket (they mentioned another softer cut?idk it was so tasty) with the molasses sauce on the table, and of course a beer for extra carbs!  I haven't had the ribs but I do know out of everywhere I've been in TX for BBQ: this is the best place for the money (aside from taste etc, it's because the wait isn't long, and it's consistent/predictable with how good it'll be). Always great BBQ. I have been many, many times on my visits to Austin. I really like it all so my recommendation is visit multiple times and try everything. Underrated: turkey. Ensure you add it to your platter.Order if you can: the beef ribs (you just need one as it is as big as what you see in a Flintstones episode)Sides: all are great. Must get the spicy slaw.If the timing is right, ask to tour the smoke pit area. If you are familiar with the dark art of BBQing, it may not be that amazing to you, but if you are not familiar with how the great food is made, it is really fun and interesting. It makes you appreciate the skill involved in creating and crafting good BBQ. More...

The folks at Stiles Law really know what they're doing when it comes to a home closing.  As a real estate broker I do a lot of home closings and they are by far one of the smoothest attorney firms to work with. The office is always kept extremely clean and they even have a little snack bar if you are waiting. If you are looking for an attorney's office for a real estate transaction you can definitely put trust in them. More...

I got the lobster bisque, Vietnamese salad with pan seared catfish, and my friend got the fried cod sandwich; with 4 cups of rosé ; pIntuitively that all food tastes good while rosed, I have literally nothing to complain about, regarding the food and the service (which is rare, btw).
