My orientation is humanistic in that I believe in the inner potential of every individual to grow and develop in ways which are fulfilling, given the right conditions. I work respectfully with each individual to help them achieve their goals. The therapeutic relationship is central to change in therapy. I aim to enable a warm collaborative relationship with people who work with me. I have written and edited a number of books on the therapeutic relationship. Having worked in the therapy field since the 1970s I have extensive experience and feel comfortable working with deep and longstanding issues
