Sat in the ""chilly" stand (somerset pavilion). Not sure the sun will reach us. County match but getting our money's worth. Coffee not good but hot chocolate comes recommended. Friendly gate staff. Thaanks SCC for a good day. More...
Lovely County Cricket Ground, still retaining an original pavilion! Easy stroll from the station, plenty parking. Plenty eateries close by as well as a Morrisons supermarket (impromptu picnic) Only 5mins from the town centre..... & even 20min walk from home .
Worth a visit. Lovely old ground, now with modern facilities.
Great place to watch cricket, still small but great games, kids love coming
Fab ground, nice food and drink options. Comfy seats.
Lovely place. Went for a conference, was very pleased with the whole place.
Great place, much more to it besides cricket.Lovely cafe and meeting facilities, helpful and friendly team of people working to maintain the high standards Somerset fans have become accustomed to.
What a place to watch cricket
Cheap tickets for a spectacular day out
Many more visits on the agenda
Good view from the seats, short boundaries so you should see a high scoring game. Drinks aren't cheap as you'd expect, £4 a can. Food options are limited; perhaps the Pieminister stand being the best option at £6 for a decent quality pie, mash and gravy. Overall a decent matchday experience. More...
Enjoyed the T20 game though Somerset 30 runs short. Really good facilities and very helpful, friendly staff all around the ground.
Principally the base of Somerset Cricket Club and all that it involves on match days. But the Stragglers restaurant is open for the public most days between 10am and 4. 30pm for breakfast and lunch, also lighter snacks and drinks. Prices are reasonable and the quality good, and with a small discount for Club members on non-match days. Carvery lunches are available in another larger building most Sundays, preferably by booking. During matches other food outlets are also available. More...
Great day out watching Somerset vs Middlesex. Topped off my winning the game. Weather was fantastic and great beer. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience
One of my favourite grounds. Small enough to be intimate and always a great day out especially if the sun is shining and Somerset win :)
Great place, lovely coffee, large area , comfortable & so close to county ground
I was an attendee at a conference held in the ground. The facilities were very good, large seating area, repeater projection screens if you have a large conference. The lunchtime buffet was very good with a wide choice. The view of the ground was excellent, although it was tempting to watch the practice going on outside as opposed to my conference! More...
Mark ch Dziewanowski
Very easy to get from Taunton station, Morrison's is nearby, cricket ground is looking better
Ground and the staff are brilliant always working to make sure everyone has an amazing time
An excellent place to watch cricket. Very good food and drink available
Has been undergoing improvements. Once had a flaky pasty (from a kiosk), which they tried to pass off as cornish! Now they have delicious ice creams and a nice cafe/restaurant in addition to the usual hot sausages, chips etc. Oh, and the cricket is very enjoyable too, but evenings are not so good for us as weekends as we have to travel a long way. An upmarket venue with a great view of Somerset County Cricket ground.
Great cricket ground with super facilities. Fantastic day out.
Thoroughly enjoyed the T20 match and will be back.
Had a private function here. Good food and friendly staff
A nice ground with plenty of food and drinks stalls. Right in town and close to several car parks.
Watched my first T20 match against Glamorgan result not what we wanted but thoroughly entertaining
Really great cricket ground made even better watching Glamorgan beat Somerset in the 20:20 last weekend
Great atmosphere for T20 matches. Smaller ground than the test grounds so lots of big hitting. Very well stewardship. Beer reasonably priced. Close to the action.
Getting there, still small enough to feel close to even international games
A great atmosphere and a great place to visit with all the family whether you like cricket or not
Lovely cricket ground with super views for all the action. A small outfield for big scores. Excellent bars with reasonably priced drinks.
Home of the Cider Boys ! Lots has changed but still retains its character.
