Probably the best railway pub in the world. A fantastic restoration means you can enjoy real, and well looked after, pint. Owned by Tapped Brew Co they brew their own beer on site and you can sit in right next to the equipment and savour the smell of freshly brewed hops. Fantastic. More...

Wish there was a bar like this in the train station where I live. Various craft beers on tap and the bottle list is extensive not to mention the beautiful setting.

Just stopped by for a beer after work, Alechemy Ten Storey Malt Bomb which describes itself as a modern 80/-, ABV 4.5% (dark & smooth with a creamy head) and the Tapped Brew Co Best Bitter, ABV 3. 5% (amber session beer clean and crisp). The pub opens on to platform 1B. Must be irresistible to commuters. Tiled interior with glazed vaulted ceilings, this is a classic Victorian station pub but with 10 beers and a cider on hand pump and more on tap including some German and Czech lagers there’s something for everyone! One of my favourite Sheffield Bars. This place can get heaving, but when it is quieter you get a better experience. The venue is amazing, an old station waiting room has been converted into into a Victorian tiled, almost London pie & mash shop style bar. The selection of bottled, keg & cask ales is excellent & they even have their own brewery to boot. Highly recommended. More...

I wonder if I let expectations get ahead of themselves. This place is very good but not mind-blowing. BUT....let's remember the location. ..a regional train station! So yes pretty freaking good. About 20 taps; mostly true to traditional / regional styles so don't expect a crazy hopped IPA; good pricing; super friendly staff. Inspires one to leave for work early! More...

Always meet up with the lads here for a couple before we go off to watch the Blades. Easy place to meet and beer is not too bad. Staff a bit sniffy sometimes.

Plenty of good cask ales, including Thornbridge, and many on rotation. £2 sausage rolls are lovely as well with mustard and red onion chutney. Conveniently located right next to the train platforms, but a cozy atmosphere. More...

A vast range of drinks to choose from, many brewed locally or even on site, in an old Edwardian part of the station. Tiled walls, with wood panelling and leather seats, the Sheffield Tap feels fancy but still manages to have a cosy atmosphere in the small warren of rooms.
Prices can be quite high, and it can get very busy and packed at peak times.

Bar on the Railway station, it has many varying beers and probably the greatest choice of any pub in Sheffield. One for the real ale connoisseur, watch out for the 6.9 Indian lager.

Beats waiting for your train in the cold!  I only had 20 minutes, so thankful the platform 1 entrance was open.  I've heard sometimes it's closed, forcing you have to exit the station to enter the pub. Celebrated a successful business trip with a Bristol IPA (Shangri-la).  The 4+ bartenders provided quick, friendly service.  Relaxing lighting and comfortable seats.  15+ beers on tap, wine, tasty snacks (oven roasted Crackling).  Only negative: 5 GBP credit card min, my beer was only 4 GBP.  Oh well.  I'll be back anyways. The Sheffield tap is a great gateway to Sheffield or exit point depending on your point of view.  There will have been many missed trains due to the location  of this bar and the quality of drinks available.  Many awesome keg and cask beers available on tap and even a brewery of  site.  Plenty of seating in what was old railway waiting rooms.  Their bottle selection is one of the best in the city. beer fans seem to gather here to have a pint or 3. My only issue which seems to be a recurring theme was with the staff.  Customer service seems to be a myth in Sheffield.  This is one of the must visit bars for any beer fan visiting the city and a great stop off if you are waiting for a train. One of the very best real ale pubs in Sheffield. Right next to the station. Great selection of international(!) real ales, adequate space spread over several rooms. But because it's essentially a station pub, it's busy even during the day. Rustic decor, and a nice, long, impressive bar. Staff is quick and efficient.Highly recommended upon arrival, or before departure, from Sheffield station. More...

Why can't all station have a little pub like this?Loads of different beefs for chose from. Ale for me and fruity beer for himself. Not a cheap as my local but getting the train to Sheffield just got a whole load more fun. When I went in there were just a few people waiting for their trains so not a great atmosphere. I don't think this is the place to stay all night but a great place to meet people before going on. The staff were nice too. More...

Sheffield Tap was on my must see list during my Sheffield stay because I love local brews.  So we went right here after arriving on our train from London.  Sheffield Tap definitely has one of the best selections of beers that I've seen in the UK.  The IPAs were good, although a bit on the weak side when it comes to alcohol content.  I love the atmosphere, right there in the train station with the wood paneling.  It was noon when we stopped in and the place was filling up.  I would definitely return here in the future and recommend it to other beer lovers if they are visiting the area.  4 stars!! With original period features from its previous life as the station waiting room (tiling, wood panels and fireplaces) this bar has a very large selection of draft beers and even more bottled beers from craft beer to extra strong Trappist ales. You have to access the pub through its entrance on the road as it's no longer a part of Sheffield station, but the bar room looks out over the station. If you're into real ales/Belgian beers/craft beer this is a great place to go, I saw a lot of very interesting looking drafts and bar staff were very helpful with suggesting drinks for us.This is a drinkers pub with no food aside from posh crisps and pork crackling, but you wouldn't want to ruin your appetite for lovely beer with food now, would you?
