How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
The most important element of the loft conversion is head height.
You need to be able to meet the minimum head height of 2.1m after the new structural floor has been added and the new roof to the dormer. The existing rafters need to be insulated.
If you do not have enough head height then you can drop the ceiling on the floor below but only if you have enough head height on the floor before.
