What do you love most about your job?
I find my job extremely rewarding, interesting and inspiring. I have a passion for applying psychological principles to help those experiencing distress or difficulties associated with mental health problems.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I entered into private practice because I strongly believe in a considered, compassionate and safe environment that supports individuals to make the necessary changes, to ultimately empower themselves and work through their concerns.
I have a vision, that we will one day accept mental health issues just as we do any other physical health problems. I want to aid that by creating a service that supports a holistic approach to mental health assessment, treatment and care.
Why should our clients choose you?
I appreciate how difficult the process of therapy can be and how exposed you can feel when first entering into a therapeutic relationship. I spend the time getting to know my clients so that together we develop a relationship that is collaborative, non-judgemental and allows them to use the therapy effectively, at their own pace. I am qualified and accredited by the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP), and from that I have sought further training in a range of other psychological therapies to allow me to work in client centred ways.
