What do you love most about your job?
I love knowing that my work has delighted my customer in some way and that they want to refer me on to their friends. My customers range from those wanting an urgent fix to a maintenance problem to those who just don't have the time to get a job completed. Sometimes it is just to make flatpack furniture or put up a shelf, others it is a whole house renovation. Whatever the job, it makes a big difference to my customer to have the job done by me, hassle and worry free, clean and tidy. It makes me feel great to know what I do makes a big difference to my customer.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was inspired to start my own business by friends and relatives who always encouraged me, whenever they saw what I had achieved renovating my own properties or helping them with theirs. I'm so glad they suggested I do this because it is so much more rewarding than working for the large corporations I was used to. Realizing that what I do makes my customers immediately happy in some way, is always a good feeling!
