We called Jordan to take a look at our boiler as it started leaking from one of the water inlets as well as it stopped heating the radiators in the flat. Jordan was extremely efficient in diagnosing the problems and after doing some checks he discovered that central heating heat exchanger has clogged up and hence why does not circulate water, making the boiler to overheat and switch off. Jordan proposed few options: flush the system with corrosives to unclog the heat exchanger, replace the heat exchanger or replace the boiler altogether. At no point Jordan tried sell us something that was not necessary, but rather give us pros and cons for each option by sharing his broad experience and knowledge. Since the boiler was relatively old and of poor quality (Ferolli), we ended up going for a new Baxi boiler. Jordan arranged the purchase, delivery and installation within a timely manner and kept us informed all the way through. Haven't dealt with many gas engineers in the past I can say that the bar is now set really high! Thank you again, Jordan, for a great work and excellent service - I'm sure that the new boiler + thermostat will keep us nice and warm for a while. Had to have my old Vokera Boiler replaced at the beggining of this year. Got qouted from four leading Edinburgh and M.B. C. was the one I chose. Not only for price, but knowledge and the impression that Jordan was trustworthy. We contacted Jordan following the boiler in our rental flat breaking down beyond economical repair. He was quick to respond and even able to come out on a Sunday to take a look and provided a quotation the following day. Aware and sensitive to the situation - tenants without heating and hot water during a chilly early March - he was able to order and fit the new boiler 3/4 days after his initial visit. Some electrical work was required to rejig the socket that would power the new boiler and Jordan organised this with an electrician, and so I didn't need to coordinate multiple tradespeople. Jordan was punctual, efficient, didn't smoke, cleared up afterwards, had a keen eye for detail and a desire to do things the correct way, rather than the easy way.We later had our own boiler replaced by Jordan. Following a few minor post-installation issues (not directly related to the new boiler, in the existing pipwork), he returned twice and fixed the problem. It is more telling how professional any tradesperson is by how they manage the situation when things go wrong (minor or major). He was unphased and despite the multiple return visits we never got the impression he was trying to take-the-money-and-run. It was April, cold, we had a new baby, and our boiler not only broke down, but was decommissioned completely as it was a danger! A certain, well known, energy supplier claimed they would have the tear up the floor and leave us with the mess (and high cost) to deal with as they claimed our supply pipe was too small. I filled out a contact form on Jordan’s Site not expecting a reply until tomorrow, but I got a call within an hour. I explained my problem (boiler just stopped working out of the blue) and Jordan was able to come over just as I was home from work (5. 30pm!) I read the reviews here and decided to give Jordan a call to discuss my boiler replacement. He came round to discuss my situation and I was impressed with both his knowledge of the technology but also of his ability to match a solution to my requirements.
