I haven’t even finished my stay here at Muckbach but I have to rave about this hotel already! The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful and the way the inside is decorated is even better. Lucy, the house manager, is extremely kind and genuine, and really cares about your stay here at the Muckbach. The food is also amazing and not too expensive for what you’re getting. To top all of that off, they have a puppy named Harry! He’s a yellow lab and right now about 9 weeks old. He’s so sweet and of course adorable as ever! He’s the official hotel dog so if you stay here, you’ll have the pleasure of meeting this sweet boy. Overall, I recommend staying here as the staff will go above and beyond and the beautiful hotel building itself. More...

Not a place you should drive past, it is amazing and the staff and management are very welcoming and professional in every way.
The rooms are to die for along with the food and drinks.
This has been a highlight of our trip in Scotland.

My wife and I were doing a small tour of the beautiful Scottish highlands for our honeymoon, and had a wonderful time staying in a few different places and exploring the local areas.
Our final 2 nights were spent at the Muckrach Hotel, and want to say thank you to the team there for making it such a perfect end to our honeymoon.
We have spent time in a few beautiful hotels, each with their charm and good service, but what we received at Muckrach felt like something much more - there was a genuineness of care and kindness from all the staff, from management through to the chefs, which is quite hard to capture in a few words for a review.
The hotel itself is stunning, brimming with character - we enjoyed an evening of local speyside whiskeys (including a Muckrach exclusively branded marvel), reading our books in a lounge whilst a local pianist provided some wonderful background ambience.
The food and wine was great, and it's amusing to me that the story I tell friends and family about our honeymoon includes a detailed description of some porridge oats (they were that good).
All in all, we are extremely grateful that the story of our honeymoon ended the way it did, and can't think of anywhere more perfect to go for our anniversary next year.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Muckrach Country House Hotel!! The hotel was just beautiful, both inside and out! We stayed in the Cairngorm room and it was amazing. I'm already missing those heated bathroom floor tiles! The staff was so kind and attentive, without being overly so. (It's always awkward when hotel staff is TOO concerned about you and seems to hover, but the staff here let us do our own thing and was always there if we needed them.) We loved the facilities so much, we spent a lot of time just enjoying the space there, reading in the library or relaxing by the fire in the drawing room. We could have easily stayed another 3 or 4 days, there is so much to do within driving distance of the hotel. We are already trying to figure out when we can come back and visit again! More...
