Went there yesterday with my friends to celebrate my birthday. Been wanting to visit for a while now. Don’t think I’d go again though. Staff were friendly however I didn’t enjoy the food and the price was too high for everything. One of the dishes we ordered was a meat platter. The chicken was still very raw and undercooked. I mentioned it to the waiter and he said he’d get replacement (didn’t apologise though). Told him we don’t want replacement. When the bill came i expected them to minus those two platters from the bill as we didn’t eat most of it, they didn’t. Had the cheek to add another £16 service charge!! Didn’t want to make a fuss so we paid the bill and left. Disappointed. More...

Tried this restaurant a week ago based on recommendations from a few friends. Ended up visiting thrice in just a week! Authentic Indian food at its best served with fantastic hospitality (Thanks Simon! You are amazing!!). Tried Gosht biriyani, southern railway mutton curry, butter tandoori rotis, rava dosa, ghee dosa and taste of India (their dessert platter which is value for money!). Love it love it love it, our go to place for South Indian food, great restaurant to eat in and we also do take aways. The only reason for 4 stars is that sometimes randomly the take away yellow dhal can be bland,
Flavourless and liquid, not a dhal curry like, and veg fried rice over cooked.... not sure if it is because of different chefs, but had this twice in the last year (usually eat there almost once a week at least). Please don’t disappoint anymore, I love your food!

Manjal Restaurant is really one of a kind.
We came here for a birthday party and thoroughly enjoyed the food.
We returned for our wedding reception and were blown away, the staff and the food were on another level.
.. And don't get me wrong, the Manjal is easily worth 4.5 stars on any normal day.
The upstairs space was perfect for our wedding and we could play our own music.
The staff couldn't bend over backwards enough for us, no request to small.
Sam was an amazing host and organiser. Providing ample amounts of food, much more than we could ever eat.
And it was easily the best meal we have had this year.
We will return as regular customers soon.
Firmly our favourite place to get curry in london now.
