Knitter
I've been knitting for over forty years and have tried most aspects of the craft. I'm particularly skilled at baby clothes and blankets as well as accessories such as scarves and wraps.
Adult Literacy Teacher
I taught literacy to adults in a range of settings including community, voluntary and the workplace. My retention rates were good and my students learned in a relaxed and stimulating environment. My return to learning as an adult was a life changing and affirming experience and I'm passionate about encouraging others to be able to develp the skills to share the experience.
Jewellery Maker
I'm an enthusiastic amateur but have had great fun making all sorts of things for friends and family. I would particularly value the opportunity to make pieces on a more commercial basis and move into teaching jewellery making classes.
Proofreader
I live my life to the constant refrain of "Mum/Lesley get a life!" as I tut and shake my head at the examples of poor grammar and spelling that are everywhere. I can't read a menu or brochure without automatically checking for mistakes. I would love the opportunity to rectify a few.
