I have provided corporate design, digital marketing and marketing support to companies ranging in size from start-ups to some of the largest companies in the world (Sony, Panasonic, Samsung). I have enjoyed working with most but I have a definite preference for working with small and medium-sized businesses where my contribution can make a real difference to the business. I enjoy taking responsibility for the marketing function within a business from planning and creating marketing plans to the hands-on implementation of those plans. Having run my own small business and worked at board level for many others, I understand the pressures and demands on managers and owners. I know how important it is to be able to deligate responsibility for a key part of your business with confidence; sure in the knowledge that your trust won’t be misplaced or taken for granted.

I was originally invited to join my cousin's marketing business when I left university. Having worked in that business for 5 years I felt the time was right to set up my own business. Ever since then I have either worked as an independent Consultant, as a Partner or Director/Owner of a marketing agency. Having been on that journey, I have arrived at what I consider to be my ideal situation. I work for a small number of businesses, often in the role of outsourced marketing manager, where I take full responsibility for the marketing function and provide the amount of time to each business that suits their requirements.

The first thing to say is that I’m an independent marketer. I’m not tied to any organisation with a vested interest in the direction my recommendations take so you can be sure that I’ll only recommend a marketing approach that is right for your business. I want to build long-term relationships with my clients and the only way to do that is to develop trust and deliver results.

My focus is Engineering, Manufacturing, Technology and IT. Although the general marketing techniques and disciplines are similar across all industries, there is no doubt that being familiar with specific industry sectors allows me to bring experience and insights that save my clients both time and money. The common thread that runs through many of my my clients is that they tend to operate in areas where the communication of complex technologies is required, often to audiences that are difficult to reach.
