Kestrel carpentry and joinery was founded at the start of 2018 after learning the trade for nearly 20 years working in the industry from the age of 10 with my fathers business. We can provide a wide range of services after picking up skills from different construction roles over the years.

Simon O'Rourke, one of the most talented artist.
To accomplish one of my photography projects while at the University, I needed to purchase good quality wood.
Not knowing anything about this material, I visited Simon's workshop. Simon and his team gave me advice and helped me choose and prepare the right wood. Receiving a tour around the workshop, I saw sculptures in various sizes, wooden bowls and furniture, some very unusual and unique in design.
I am very grateful for the time, advice, help and for my purchase.
Witnessing "Simon in action", carving in front of the public is one of the best movie you could possibly watch.
