Stanley Khan demanded a deposit from us before viewing (big red flag)
The flat was in awful condition in person. Not like the pictures.
He then stopped communicating, refused to answer our concerns(eventually acknowledged them rudely but gave us vague answers several days later) he wouldn’t even give us an opportunity check out different properties and tried to force us to sign the lease with so many awful manipulation techniques. He refused to give me my holding deposit back even though he reposted the listing on the website (perhaps to scam more students into giving him a deposit) I have never in my life experienced such unprofessional and rude service.
A year later, and after complaining through the Property Obudsman, I finally received 80% of my “holding” deposit. JCP was overall an awful experience for me and the other students involved. Hopefully they change their business model and follow companies with integrity like Chancellors or FindersKeepers. Avoid JCP to be safe, I regret ever considering any business with them.

Honestly, I do not have the energy to go into the depths of frustration that I have with JCP. Unfortunately, I am still awaiting a deposit return over five weeks after leaving the property.
I do fully appreciate the global circumstances, however, JCP have been operational and have never provided clarity on ETA's on a deposit return. This has left us in a position of difficulty in our own planning.
I have had various conversations with different team members within the organisation (Jericho, Oxford branch) only to be told that there are 'third party suppliers' who are holding up.
It's extremely disappointing that any bottlenecks with their own logistical supplies are having an impact our own cash position. I believe it's been three independent contractors that have been the bottleneck. I am at a loss as to whether this is the case or any internal issues. None-the-less, it's unacceptable.
I still await responses and am almost powerless (aside with engaging with my solicitor) to expedite matters. I have reviewed various online reviews of tenants who have experienced similar issues over the years so can only attribute it to the level of professionalism within the company.
Please consider who you use as a letting agent. I have an extremely poor view of them as an organisation.
There have been additional issues that I will save all of our time on also.

Alex was extremely helpful and professional when helping me and my friends find our first property to rent. I would recommend this agency as they are considerate of students financial predicament and don't expect the deposits straight up like other agency's but they allow students till June to come up with the deposit. I have had a good experience with JCP and their lettings agent, Urfaan, thus far and would recommend them to anyone looking to rent in Oxford. As an international student, it was initially challenging getting a hold of Urfaan due to time differences and a busy period for the agency, but things progressed at a reasonable pace throughout.Urfaan was not only helpful but also kind and polite in all communications; be it over the phone, email, or in person.
