What makes a great website?
One that is based on the viewer, that understanding what outcome the business requires from an enquiry/sale and understands the targeted audience. It should be dynamic and have the ability to grow and change as the business its displaying does. Most importantly connect - connect with the viewer, get across the brand messages and retain the audience.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
We like to get under the skin of a business and understand its future, growth, owners ambitions and target audience. We like to understand what the brand means, internally and externally and data behind any past activity/project. We want to understand your customers journey through the business and what it looks like.
Describe your creative process.
We have established a process we refer to as a 'wallpaper strategy' this allows us to discover and understand the business and get all areas involved. We do this in a 2-day process, firstly a day with your team - to ask lots of questions and really understand your brand. This often opens ideas, gives focus and a great way to understand your team's dynamics. The second part is market research, delivered in an easy to understand document, this could with reference to the business or an individual activity.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
With everything we undertake, we want to know what 'success looks like' and put a process in place to monitor this success, whether that's the brand reach, longer interaction, better retention, increasing revenue and retention.
What do you love most about your job?
The impact we have on businesses we work with and the friends we make along the way. We have a wide mix of clients across very different sectors - the knowledge I have personally built along the way keeps me fresh and focused. Not one business is the same and they should connect to its audience. For me personally, I love developing a brand and watching it grow - being able to create fresh content along the way.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Having been a Marketing Director in different businesses and sectors (from b2b to b2c) I found many agencies we worked with lacked the understanding of our business, they would often appear with an idea, then go away - in that time things changed, markets moved - business focus had switched to other products. I thought they had got something wrong and spotted the gap in the market!
I pride myself on creating a go-to team, that come to your offices - with our tool kit and help develop your business, it makes us dynamic with the ability to react and develop internal teams for the future.
