food was hot, especailly as they catered for over 300 people. vegetarian option was not very good at all though, too much tomato and spice but the roasts looked good. Music was ear splitting loud and the speakers vibrated making the bass and sound distorted. Jersey Boys tribute act was excellant, very polished and good singers but again, spoilt by the sound quality. drinks quite expensive but that is to be expected in a hotel. staff were all very friendly and efficient so all in all, a really good night ( shame about the sound level) and the music was much better choice than last year More...

Group booking of 12 on our Christmas party night out.||We all had a fantastic time, the band were great, the DJ played exactly the right music for a Christmas party, and had the dance floor packed throughout the entire evening. Beautiful lake, helpful staff and tasty food.Rooms are very spacious but a little bit outdated and the wifi desperately needs upgrading as it is very slow, but have stayed here twice and would stay here again.

We stayed here because of nearness to Ebbsfleet, to catch Euro star. On first arriving I thought oh Lordy! But then the receptionists were excellent. The decor was extremely dated but that soon became part of its charm! Our room was large and comfy but what I noticed it wasnt like a sauna and you could adjust your own radiator and the windows opened. Unfortunately there was a problem with the electric so we had to move rooms, they did this with the minimum of fuss. Dinner was tasty, bleak dining room but that was clean. Food freshly cooked and tasty. Not many staff but very friendly and if they didn't know they tried to find out for you. Good reasonably priced venue , stayed twice once for a family party held at The Inn on the Lake and Saturday 16th November for a family wedding held at another venue but chose to stay at this venue again nice breakfast and clean room .

We had a nice stay here with a room overlooking the lake. This room was definitely quieter than rooms we have had before which were on the other side closer to the A2 (these arent excessively noisy just the hum of traffic) The staff are very friendly and bar drink and food prices are reasonable.

I stayed with my Family at this Hotel (Bed & Breakfast). The Rooms nicely Decorated, Furnished, Beds comfortable. Full English Breakfast first class. ||Renovation work being done but not a problem. Hotel two Floors, suitable for people with disabilities, (Stairs and Lift). Plenty of spaces for parking. Very pleased with my one night stay in a twin room single occupancy. Had a room facing the road but didn't hear any road noise. Room seemed very dated with a 70s feel but was clean & warm. |Had a pizza from the bar which I enjoyed while watching Sky Sports on 2 big TV screens.|Breakfast was decent.|One thing that did annoy me though was that I had got Tea, toast & cereals from the breakfast buffet & sat down to enjoy them. As soon as I had sat down a waitress took my cooked breakfast order which was delivered to my table before I could take my second spoonful of cereal! We stayed here after travelling back from Folkestone. I had messaged ahead to say we would be arriving earlier than our check in time and was advised they would struggle but would definitely try. When we arrived @10.30am Muriel on reception was really helpful and said she would see if we could have our room earlier... We stayed here as a base whilst attending a party nearby. I was a bit worried when i read all the negative reviews. However we were pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem of a place. The room was large 213 we had a beautiful view of the lake. We had a room for 3 adults which was perfect for us. We had a meal at the bar and this was really nice freshly cooked as was the breakfast. Ok so some areas are a bit tired looking but this is the case in most hotels. We will certainly recommend the Inn on the Lake and will return for one of their tribute weekends. It advertises as a venue for weddings and "themed" events. We stayed for other reasons. There was a motorbike event nearby and we wanted a room for a few nights. ||||There was a largish lake or were there 2, on the still side of the Inn, with generous outdoor seating and decking. We saw someone fishing lakeside, that morning. And there were attentive pekin ducks. They weren't looking to be fed, just seemed to be liking our company. Quite a pleasant contrast tranquilly idling by the river here, knowing there was travelling traffic just over there. We couldn't see it, neither could we hear it. Surreal really. The Inn appears to have magicked a calm and a hushness, tucked away in this quiet space. ||||The room we had was quite roomy, but it was a long way down the corridor and around the corner, then further along, so on and so forth. But this is what you get when a hotel spreads over the ground rather than go upwards in floors. I believe the staff to be sympathetic and helpful if one has mobility issues.||||There were 2 counters on a L shape, serving the function room(s) and the bar. The breakfast hall doubled as a restaurant in the evening. ||||The Inn was fine; served our purpose; the food was satisfactory to good. There were many guests whilst we were there. Nice, well maintained, hotel located right on the M2. Parking space in front of the hotel (can sometimes be busy). Very friendly and helpful staff. Large clean room with small bed and with terrace and lake view (# 123). Good bathroom. Good WiFi. Dinner good and for a low price, it is an uninviting restaurant. Very rich breakfast. The M2, which runs just in front of the hotel, does not bother you at the back (lake side), there is also a nice forest on this side. If you're in this part of the country this makes for a much more interesting place to stay than the big chains. Rooms are large and those at the back of the hotel have fabulous views of the lake. The staff were all very friendly and the food in the restaurant was ok.||Downsides - hotel has a dated feel to it but still is clean and w fi is free. The bar does offer food but the tables are not very comfortable.||On entering the empty restaurant we asked if we could sit at a table for 4 so that we could spread out. This was not possible as all the other 100 guests might come in and want to eat. This was in a restaurant where more than half was already set for breakfast and 1 person & a family of 4 came in whilst we eat.||All the negatives are outweighed by the price and friendly staff.
