We'd had various problems with our house's heating over the years, which other plumbers and heating engineers have tried and failed to deal with; Hansons finally fixed them. They turned up to replace our boiler but ended up having to sort out numerous problems left by previous tradesmen. In the end they stayed much longer than expected to get things working – we had three engineers working well into the evening to avoid leaving us with no heating or hot water. George and his team were very helpful and went out of their way to make sure we were OK and that the system was finally working properly. They also returned promptly to sort out a few minor lingering issues and kept us well informed of what was going on throughout. Boiler stopped working late on Saturday, only Hanson’s engineer was available at short-notice and came within half an hour. It wasn’t possible to fix boiler due to parts longer available and old model.Price immediately quoted for a new boiler and installation that was very good, confirmed arranged installation for next working day when team returned to to an excellent job. My boiler was badly serviced(extremely) by our previous plumber who let us down dreadfully. I will never understand it. George fixed things to "make do" until a part came. Then he replaced it efficiently and also checked another part that needs replacing. He explained everything. Hansons have just installed a dishwasher for me. The plumber (a Greek whose name I didn't properly catch) and his apprentice, Harry, arrived very promptly and executed a very quick and efficient job and even went so far as to shave a bit off a door, closure of which the dishwasher was previously preventing. I had a problem with my hot water, phoned hansons plumbing up and within a couple of hours one of the engineers turned up. He looked at the system and within minutes found the fault. I got told the part I needed had to be ordered in and would have to Waite a few days for it to come and be installed. This was on a Thursday. I got told they would get the new part by Thursday/Friday the following week and would contact me when the had it to arrange a time to install it. The following week I got contacted by the engineer on Tuesday to say they had the part earlier than expected and would be able to fit it on Wednesday if it was ok (a day earlier than told) I was very happy that they could do it Wednesday, I said yes. The engineer’s turned up on time and got straight to work. They never stopped working and Within hours my hot water was working again and I was very happy. I am a landlord for a property in Oxford
I contacted this company to carry out a gas safety check.
This was done as informed to me by my tenants, however when it came to getting the gas safety certificate, there have been huge problems.

I was only contacted with an invoice once the work had been done, with no mention of a gas safety certificate, which is crucial for me to have as a landlord. I duly paid the invoice and had to ask about the certificate.

I called up the office and was informed that I would be sent the certificate via email in the next 5 minutes. 2 days went by and no certificate. Rather than calling me to let me know of any issues, I had to call the office to be told that there were IT issues meaning they couldn't send me the certificate via email. I'm not sure why the company hadn't thought of posting the certificates instead rather than being passive and waiting for me to contact them letting them know I hadn't received a certificate.

I then asked them to post the certificate to my address, which the lady on the phone said she would do that day. Several days later and I have still not received any certificate. This is extremely frustrating as I have had to contact the company several times now to ask for something which they should have got to me. Very poor communication skills shown by the company and poor initiative to find ways around a problem.

Unfortunately, I would not recommend this company at all and wont be using them again. Extremely disappointed! I would give this company zero stars if possible. More...

Superb!!! We called them late in the afternoon and two men arrived by six o'clock. They immediately diagnosed a problem that our previous plumber could not. (He had left us on our own with it) These two set about a four hour job cheerfully and efficiently. Everything they needed was in their van so no running off to buy parts. When our boiler unexpectedly gave up the ghost, George stepped-in quickly when our landlord's usual plumber would not return any calls or emails. He had the foresight to diagnose the problem over the phone and arrive with the correct parts ready and waiting. This saved us time and our landlord money as only one visit was necessary.
