I accepted a tender from GK Contracts to construct a sunroom on my home in Newcastle.It is a bespoke design and as such required a flexible and creative approach to the project. We approached Winston to remove a garage then add a dining room, bedroom and wet room to our property. We received great advice and explanations about the whole thing, from price to time frame of how long it would take, to any wee on for seen changes. Himself and his team are very easy to talk to, get along with, very professional and very tidy. We are absolutely delighted with everything they have done for us and love the changes to our home and couldn't fault it in any way.We would definitely recommend GK Contracts to anyone for jobs large or small.A local friendly family business that totally deserve 5 stars. GK Contracts carried out an adaptation to our home for my wife who is disabled and uses a wheelchair. This involved the construction and fitting out of a shower room extension, widening of interior doors, adding wheelchair accessible double doors at the rear of the property, leading onto a ramp and extended patio area. The appearance and value of the house has been enhanced by these changes. It is constructed in such a way that, should we wish to move, the modifications will not deter future purchasers.I would recommend Winston and his team to anyone in similar circumstances. Employed GK contracts to build our bungalow with sunroom.although it was trying as the site was on an old railway line,the front only a few yards from the river,a sloping bank to the rear holding back a stone wall and not to mention a basement to the side gavel Winston and James managed to position it in perfectly and still have ample parking on site.
