Gavin was fantastic on our wedding day. He was very calm and cheerful while organising groups for photos and also took lots of great candid shots unobtrusively throughout the day. He was professional but also friendly and joined in with conversation throughout the day. The photos we got from him are absolutely gorgeous, we are really pleased with them and have had lots of positive comments from friends and family. Just received our wedding album and couldn't be any happier with it, from our first meeting with Robin we knew he was 'the one' and haven't been disappointed in anything. From his relaxed manner on the day to the quality of our hundreds of shots we couldn't have wished for anymore. The icing on the cake is the most beautiful album with our favourite photos. Having worked with Gavin on numerous occasions I have no reservations in recommending him and his work. He is one of the rare and lucky people who are truly passionate about their job, whether he is waiting for 9 hours for me to finish a complex bodypaint or getting up whilst it is still dark to capture the sun rising. Gavin was absolutely fantastic on our wedding day. When he arrived while we were getting ready he instantly joined the general chat going on which kept everybody relaxed while he took photos and this kept up for the rest of the day. During the day he was mindful of the schedule and didn't allow photos to go on too long leaving everybody waiting which took away a lot of worry for us. He was also successful at herding all our guests for group photos without too much hassle. The end result of the photos were absolutely stunning and we're constantly getting comments from friends and family on how much they love the photos. Gav was excellent for our wedding at Roman Camp on 2nd December 2017. He arrived knowing the areas and it was clear he was well prepared. He was excellent at putting not only the bride and groom at ease, but also the whole wedding party and guests. He created a relaxed atmosphere, which is evident in the photos. I booked Gav for my wedding in 2015 a year before the day. To me the photography was one of the most important factors of the day as we will share the photos with friends and family forever. Having seen Gav's wedding and club photography I was keen to book him in advance. We kept in contact then met about 3 months prior to discuss what me and my (now) husband wanted from the day. One of the things we were both keen on was more candid shots, amongst the classic posed pictures. We also felt that Gav was the right person for us - he's got a sense of humour but was totally respectful to some minor details that were important to us.
Gav arrived at the hotel I was getting ready at in the morning to capture the fun morning of me, my family and bridesmaids. He travelled with us to the venue and of course captured the ceremony, dinner, speeches and first dance at the reception. He felt like part of our family by dinner! It was a perfect day, but as most brides will say trying to remember the day becomes a little hazy. About a week after the wedding whilst we were still on our Honeymoon, Gav sent me the first edits of the photos.
The main thing that drew me to Gav is his composition - he sure knows how to set up a shot - and his use of light to make the photo interesting.
When I received the whole lot of photos on our return, I was overjoyed. He captured the day in a way I feel no-one else could have. My particular favourite is a shot of me and my Dad going down the aisle. When me and my husband look back on the day, we remember moments through the photos and we hope that you consider Gavin for you day. You will not be disappointed. More...
