As a civil engineer I picked Dominic Homes because of their good reviews and brochure photos. I entered a contract in July which valued at £140,000 of which almost £100,000 was paid - this was to ensure the scheduled works were completed by February. Although things seemed to be on track originally, since the 1st of November communication ceased when the contractor left the UK and went back to Bulgaria. When the works were ceased following the halt in communication, they were left incomplete resulting in structural damage from unfinished roof works. When doing further research I noticed that company's insurance was also expired. If anyone is considering using this contractor, I would advise against this and would be happy to show you the reality of the unprofessional works that my property was left in. Dominic Homes have completed one refurbishment project and are currently building my self build house. Gabor and his team work very hard to ensure that targets agreed are met. Gabor is on site a lot to ensure that all building regulations and standards are met. He has good experiences, this has shown at times when I was not sure on how to implement ideas that I had that Gabor gave advice on.
The team is at work 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday and Saturdays mornings.
I was happy with the quote and when adjustments needed to be made Gabor was accommodating.
