How long have you been in business?
I have been in business for the last 13 months. I started as a handyman on a part time basis and then started taking on larger jobs and building projects.
What guarantee does your work come with?
All our work comes with a Federation of Master Builders warranty on labour. I also have ‘mini guarantees’ that many of my current clients appreciate. These are:
• There will be no smoking by any employee of DPS, or sub-contractors completing work on our behalf in your property or on your land.
• No tea or coffee cups will be left unwashed after use if kindly supplied by the customer.
• No tools will be left in a walkway or the middle of a room if not being directly used. Any such tools will be stacked neatly by the wall or removed if not being used.
• Any floor within the property being used for access but not directly involved in any works will also be protected with dust sheets or polythene.
• If entering your property and walking over finished or communal flooring then boot covers will be worn or footwear removed.
• Any outside job will finish with a pressure wash and inside job finished with a thorough hoover or steam clean.
• When jobs take more than a week then every Friday the customer will receive an email with a progress report.
What do you love most about your job?
I love lots of things about my job. I love creating things with my own hands, I love working outside, I love working for myself, I love working with customers to help them realise their project aspirations, no matter how big or small.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My father ran his own building company for more than 20 years and I grew up working closely with him. However, I went on to work in other roles before coming back to an industry I have always enjoyed. In addition, running my own business means I’m now able to give my son his breakfast and put him to bed at night.

I care about the work I do and I’m dedicated in providing the best services for my customers. I enjoy working with my customers from the planning stage to the goodbye wave at the end. I never forget who I have worked with as all customers get a birthday and Xmas card from me.

Garage Conversions
We offer full or partial garage conversions.
Garage door removal and replacement with door or window.
Conversion to self contained accommodation, playroom, gym, music room, utility room, WC, office or general living space.
All walls, floors and ceilings insulated to provide maximum thermal efficiency.
Services offered either directly of through sub contractors: bricklaying; joinery and carpentry, plastering, flooring, plumbing, electrical, roofing and door and window installation.
Bespoke Extensions
We offer all different kinds of extensions to properties including, side, rear, wraparound, single or double storey.
Services include installation of steel beams and columns, windows, doors and bifold doors.
We offer the full extension package including groundworks and drainage, structure build, roof build including lanterns and skylights, plastering, flooring, painting and decorating and landscaping.
Renovations and Alterations
We can take a property and give it a facelift, restore its character or add an addition space through an extension.
We can reorganise all internal spaces, move rooms, alter dimensions and open up spaces. We can retrofit floors, walls and ceilings for thermal efficiency.
Design and Plan
We work with a reputable architect and can offer full design plans, planning permission and building regulations applications. We can also just offer our advice.
