'Christian played at our wedding, he played as the guests were arriving, the walk in song, after the ceremony and during the fizz and canapes, he was sensational, it really set the mood and emotions throughout this time and was perfect. What do you love most about your job?
Working with people to create the perfect set list for the event is an amazing experience. It makes the occasion so much more personal, and what is music it not personal!
What inspired you to start your own business?
A life long goal to craft a living in music. It was something that was never in doubt in my mind.
Why should our clients choose you?
My USP as a Pianist is that I bring two setlist, one for myself and one for the guests. I encourage people to pick and chose the setlist as the event evolves... so think oƒ me as a live piano dukebox!
Composer
At 24, Hampshire born Film Composer Christian Smith already enjoys several credits to his name. His portfolio currently includes composing for adverts (O2 and Mercedes AMG), in addition to scoring Indie Documentaries and Short Films, most notably ‘Son of Perdition’ which stars Alex Macqueen (In The Thick Of It), Jayne Wisener (Sweeney Todd and The Inbetweeners) and Steven Hartley (Silent Witness). He is currently working on a new drama ‘As The Sun Rises’ set for release 2018, directed by James Postlethwaite.
In addition his Film and TV work, his solo compositions have achieved great success online. His orchestral and cinematic scores have amassed over 1 million streams and he regularly charts alongside renowned composers in Soundcloud’s viral charts. Indeed ‘Falling Leaves’, one of his most successful compositions, went on to inspire light artist Alaa Minawi’s installation ‘My Light Is Your Light’ at The 2014 Amsterdam Light Festival. The light installation, which portrays the journey of six Syrian Refugees travelling across Europe, has since featured in cities across the globe, spanning three continents.
