Went for a friend's private birthday party. Expensive drinks, but staff were friendly and fairly efficient. Open till 2am.

Nice pub by the canal. Avoid the yellowfin tuna, it's overcooked. The burgers are great though, especially the veggie one.

Went here for a comedy club night out and it was quite fun. You can buy very cheap hot dogs and they have a good variety of beers. Nice experience. I believe they do comedy just on Mondays. More...

I love this venue.
Great location & range of rooms (log-fire downstairs; acres of sofa on 1st floor; powerful speakers upstairs, if you want them); great canal-side location; 2 great outdoor terraces.
Great selection of beer; great bar staff; great atmos.
And spectacular food. We had the fish & chips & award-winning fishcakes(with basil cream sauce) - & both were outstanding, & well-priced.
Hugely recommended.

Great trout (the place prides itself on offering only the environmentally sustainable fish meals), good relaxing views on the patio overlooking the canal, cool way to catch a good breeze on a summer night

I've always been a Driver girl myself but recently my work colleague and I decided to try something off the beaten track - and I'm so glad we did. Set away from the hustle and bustle of Kings Cross, 125 Canal is about 5 minutes walk up Caledonian Road and overlooks the canal - it was a beautiful sunny day when we went so obviously we sat outside. The interior is my favourite kind of 'worn' where you feel like you could curl up with a book in the corner of the pub and no one would bother you all day other than to top up your coffee (or pint as the evening begins)! The staff are super friendly (especially the cute one called David who I imagine has some great after-work banter on a Friday evening) and the menu is really varied with lots of hearty food on the menu (not pretentiousness at all). I had the sausage and mash which was absolutely divine and my friend had serious food envy of the couple next to us who were having the Ploughman's sandwich. The portions are absolutely huge so it's great value for money and I would definitely go here again. New Friday lunch spot? I think so. More...

My friends and I go to Canal 125 somedays after work and find the place easy to relax in. We keep getting invited down to the Sunday roast (I think by the owner or manager I'm not sure but he's very nice and always looks after us when we're there) so we went last weekend and it was great! Too much food but delicious all the same. Will defo do that again. More...

If you are ever around King's Cross on a sunny day, I highly recommend walking down to the Canal towards Caledonia Road and take a walk all the way down to Camden.  However, if you are feeling lazy, just stop at this pub and enjoy the quiet outdoor terrace with a lovely view on the canal.  You will be able to watch the ducks glide by, observe the fishermen and wonder if they would actually risk eating anything that comes out from the canals, and giggle at the runners on the banks sides.  Accompany this pleasant experience with a good pint and some fresh good British food for the perfect sun-filled experience. I went to a private party here, and have held a private party here myself. I love this venue and its location and when i organised my sisters birthday i found the staff very accomodating. The party i went to recently again was really nice and we had a bar-b-q outside which was well organised and cooked well . The sound system is really good and i love the disco globe! On the upper floor there is also a terrace so when you throw a party, its easy access for the smokers, and also an oppotunity to enjoy the evenings when the weather is nice. More...
