A fantastic venue for a family wedding. Everything was right about this place, from the location to the hall itself. The grounds were stunning and with the good weather we had we explored the parkland to the full. The rooms were period, as you'd expect in a place like this, and the staff were friendly and obliging. A memorable stay. More...

I just want to say a big thank you to Stephanie and the team at my sister's wedding last week. The range of toys were fantastic and the staff were so lovely, caring and thoughtful with the children. Our 2 children loved it and it was a perfect set up - my husband and I could enjoy the reception while we knew the children were having a great time and being very well cared for! Thank you so much! Safe and Sound Events - five star. I was unsure whether to leave my daughter at the crèche of a work festival, but on going into the tent was really amazed to see how many staff there were and how many activities. My daughter enjoyed herself so much that she continually asked to go back there and spent hours playing and making things. The attention to detail and friendliness of all the staff was refreshing and reassuring- would have no hesitation in using this service again! Thank you Safe and Sound! More...

We hired Safe and Sound for our wedding, we had 26 children attending. We were hugely delighted with how well the children were looked after. Safe and Sound managed to get it just right: from balancing the care needed for the 2 year olds through to the tweens having a blast. Safe and Sound played a major part in everyone at our wedding having a great time. More...

Safe & Sound provided two brilliant event nannies who worked so hard all day in 30c heat to look after our children at our outdoor wedding! Our children (aged 1 and 2) loved them and were able to be present during everything whilst having all their needs cared for, massively reducing the stress for us. We couldn’t have done it without Janice and Sam so thank you, ladies. Safe & Sound also ran an evening crèche for a few of our friends children meaning the parents could stay later and enjoy the party. All the guests commented on how good the staff were and what a great idea. Thanks also to Stephanie for all the arranging and easy communication in the run up. Louise x More...

Two great golf courses, Palmerston and Melbourne, plus a shorter 6/7 hole course, part of Palmerston Golf Academy. There is also an excellent golf range where professionals are on hand to give coaching lessons by appointment. Palmerston is the longer course exceeding 7000 yards while Melbourne is more challenging especially the holes which involve driving alongside the lake or crossing the water. On the 18th hole appropriately named Broadwater, after playing the approach shot to the green, one boards a ferry to reach the green and play out the hole.Apart from the golf Brocket Hall has scenic grounds, a lake and restaurants. A good place to go for a meal or hold functions and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. More...

Brocket Hall is where Queen Elizabeth grew up, and where Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill lived.Currently over 500 acres of serene grounds, it still remains the most exclusive of destinations. Our time here was most enjoyable and definitely an annual commitment. If leadership was contagious, Brocket Hall would where you want to get infected from. More...

The services provided from the outset was bespoke and personal to meet our needs. Stephanie fitted seamlessly into our family from the start and was a pleasure to have around. Lucas absolutely adored her from the start and was very happy in her company. Stephanie took a lot of strain and stress off my shoulders and let me just get on with many other things that were going on. She went with my husband to visit Lucas grand mother at another location and they all thought she was wonderful as well. I was so happy with the service that was provided. Stephanie was understanding and a wonderful child carer and we will be using her services again. More...

Very interesting place. Brocket Hall is not a hotel. It's a 543-acre country estate and 2-course golf club. The hall itself is a Grade 2 listed country house built in 1746 and used exclusively for weddings, conferences and events. Also on the estate is an extremely good restaurant, The Auberge du Lac (try their multi-course taster menu, it's brill!), and the former stables, Melbourne Lodge, where most of the estate's 46 rooms are. So, here's the thing... if you want stay on the Brocket Hall estate, go to your favourite online accommodation booking site and look for Melbourne Lodge. Apparently, since putting Melbourne Lodge online they've been getting lots of young couples staying for glamorous romantic short breaks. I'm not surprised. More...
