What a brilliant training day with Jackie Harris on Web Writing. I'm in the process of creating a new website so perfect timing. I stayed engaged throughout and didn't even notice my usual post lunch energy slump.
Jackie has an informative fun style and offers clarity on a subject that many people get wrong. I really feel I know how to get it right now.
Who better than me to write about my business and I now have the confidence to do it myself. Thank you Jackie for your wisdom, humour and great delivery.

Q&As

I love the variety of my work - no two days are ever alike. Last week I had to write an email shot about animatronic dinosaurs for a theme park, and create web content for a livestock auction market. I also really like coaching my clients and sharing my 30 years of marketing experience with them.

The real reason is because I reached a point in my career when I felt I was too old to fill in a permission slip to take holidays - I was an experienced, hard working marketing consultant and a junior clerk in the HR department was keeping tabs on my holiday days.

I decided it was time to master my own fate. I think I'm probably unemployable now, I don't think wild horses would tempt me back to a full time job working for someone else.

I think my USP is me. I'm probably not everyone's cup of tea, but when I get the right clients, they tend stay for a very long time - can't get rid of them (only joking). Clients tell me I have an unsual way of looking at problems which forces them to look at things differently. I must say I'm quite proud and pleased that people think that. I'm also told I have a gift for making complicated clear and simple. I'm also delighted with that description. At the end of the day it's my job to help my clients sell more - generate leads, and target the right customers. That's not possible if your marketing messages are confusing and unreadable.

Services

If you want to take your marketing to the next level but can't afford to fork out the £5k+ salary to hire a full-time marketing director, then this could be just the thing for you.

I work with clients at a marketing director level, to offer strategic help with their marketing. This could involve creating a formal marketing strategy, looking at your messages, helping you find new markets and opportunities, and of course, helping you generate more leads. Some clients hire me once day a week, others one day a month - I even have clients that I've never met because we work via video conferencing - which is efficient and very effective. The choice is yours.

I'm always happy to chat to see if we could be a good fit.

Digital content is everywhere. Some of it is good, but mostly it's pretty awful. I help companies create digital marketing and content strategies to make sure they're content is being heard above the 'noise.' I help you generate ideas and of course, I can write.

I write:
Case studies
White papers/eguides
Articles
Web content
Email marketing content including autoresponder sequences
