I was told a couple of times by people that the biggest regret was that they never had a videographer on their wedding day. I can honestly say, it was worth spending every penny!! Russell and Ryan are the nicest guys and were an absolute pleasure to have around. They were so fun and made us feel very relaxed! Russell at Bride and Zoom is amazing – professional, kind and incredibly passionate about what he does. I really could not recommend someone more! Due to some bother with our original videotographer, Russell stepped in and saved the day. We had managed to gain the footage from our previous videotographer, but we needed somebody to edit – and how glad I am that we decided to go with Russell. My only regret is not using Bride and Zoom for the filming of our day! Given our circumstances, he was brilliant and reassured us every step of the way. As you can imagine, our trust was broken, but he kept us updated, and treated us just like one of his couples. When Russell sent over our video, it was perfect and brought back such lovely memories of our wedding day. As I said before, we had such bother with our previous videotographer, that getting our video seemed impossible but Russell saw what position we were in and stepped in! Thank you Russell, from the bottom of our hearts for stepping in when we had no idea what to do, and for making such a beautiful video with the footage you were given. You turned what could have been a really rubbish situation, into such a positive one and I am so glad to have met you. Different league!! Best Videographer in the whole of the South! When I was looking for a videographer last year I didn’t know where to start. I started watching a few from local videographers and was questioning whether I was even going to book one. I then discovered Bride and Zoom!!!! I started watching his videos and he managed to capture people’s emotions so effectively I was crying whilst watching videos of people I had never met get married!!! (I don’t usually ever cry!) I spoke with my photographer and also discovered she had booked Russell a year previously (If a photographer books someone for their personal wedding you know they’ve got to be good!) so I decided to book Bride and Zoom. 4th Aug 18. I can honestly say this was one of the best decisions for the whole wedding! We had both Russell and his assistant all day, Russell is so lovely and down to earth. He made me feel really comfortable the whole day and to be honest I forgot he was there most of the time as he just stood back and did his thing. When I recieved the video....I knew it would be good from watching the other ones he’d done, but I was still blown away. As we had the wedding in our garden I was worried how it would be captured but Russell created the most amazing video of our whole day. I cannot begin to thank him for the memories he’s captured for us. From a bride that has already had my big day, if I can give anyone one piece of advice, it would be to book a videographer (Russell if he’s not already been booked on your date) On the day you seem to get overwhelmed by everything and I found the whole day became quite blurred, although I remember it, you don’t remember all the details as it’s just so much to take in. When the video came back from Russell is was a reminder of things I had already forgotten. They say a picture says 1000 words but a video does even more! Where do we begin? If you truly want the best video memories of your wedding day, Bride and Zoom are the company to use. They offer a variety of packages (ours was tailor-made to suit our needs for the day) and were organised and professional during our communication leading up to the day. On the day itself, our videographers were excellent at catching candid moments in an unobtrusive way. We couldn’t believe the range of people they managed to capture; it was lovely for us to see some of the things that went on that we would have missed otherwise. Their videos are beautifully edited, from the music transitions to the menu screen of the DVD itself. Bride and Zoom were so helpful in making sure the video of our day was perfect in every way, and communication and customer care continued to be excellent after the wedding itself was over. It took me months to convince my now husband to book a videographer for various reasons but honestly there are absolutely no regrets. Russell was fantastic from the start. Arranging meetings around me working so that I could actually meet the person who was going to be following me around all day, to being so accommodating and enthusiastic about the wedding itself. I don’t even know where to start... We have been in tears since we got our wedding video (EXTREMELY HAPPY TEARS) we must of watched it dozens of times since we received it yesterday and everytime it takes me on this huge emotional amazing rollercoaster that was our wedding day. Having followed Bride & Zoom for a long time because of the pure beauty from his work I was in awe of it all. Then came the day that I met Russell at a wedding that I was working (im a wedding photographer myself) I watched him work & the way he so effortlessly made everyone feel comfortable, whilst remaining super professional at all times, his artistic eye never seemed to stop for the entirety of the day. Need less to say I was VERY impressed!!! We clicked instantly on a professional level (before he even knew I was a potential client). Russell was amazing throughout the booking process, especially with all the endless questions, requests and suggestions from myself he was always kind & happy to help! Great prices and packages and we was sold instantly. We booked it & the rest as they say is history! He arrived on the day look dapper (as usual) and hopped straight into it, initially I was very aware of the camera but within 10mins I couldn’t even tell he was there (I was actually abit worried that they wasn’t there at some points) THEY COVERED EVERYTHING & more!!! I can happily recommend him to ANYONE now (I sort of shout it from the rooftops at the moment) not only on a professional level but now on personal experience. Our video is definitely in the top 3 Things I would save in a fire now (after my husband and kids) � I love it! It’s bloody beautiful. He’s captured every aspect of our day perfectly. He’s summed up our families and the love we have for eachother amazingly well. I didn’t think I could love my husband anymore than I do already but after watching our beautiful wedding video it’s made me fall in love with him a million times more seeing our love and the biggest day of our lives played out on the big screen � It’s AMAZING! So in conclusion- if your reading this looking for reviews for potientially booking Russell for your big day . look no further. Our 5 year old daughter has already requested to watch it again tonight when she gets home from school. I was in two minds as to whether to book a videographer, but it was one of the best decisions I made for our wedding. As a wedding hairstylist I meet lots of other wedding suppliers especially those who are involved with the pre ceremony procedings. It was a great pleasure to work with such true professionals! Before the guys from Bride and Zoom arrived, the bride cofessed to me she was a bit nervous about being filmed but she need not have worried, Russell put everyone completely at ease and made the whole process fun and enjoyabe. We can't thank Bride & Zoom enough not only for the quality of the film, their professionalism, their patience but more importantly the memories they have captured which will last us a life time. What do you love most about your job?
I think what I love most about my job is enabling people to relive the most important days of their life. A Wedding day can go so fast and often there are lots of reactions and moments that the couple might not see in the moment, so it's great to be able give them an opportunity to see that. Another thing is getting amazing feedback from our couples when they see their film and hearing how much it means to them to have captured those memories. It never fails to be a feel-good moment for me and makes all of the hard work worthwhile.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I studied film-making at University and after graduating I wanted to pursue a career that enabled me to be creative with film. I've been making wedding films since 2010, initially just for friends and family to gain experience and build a portfolio but then things really took off and it has become my full time career.
To date we have filmed well over 100 weddings all across Britain including ones in Edinburgh, Anglesey, Plymouth and Carlisle.....pretty crazy considering I'm based in Portsmouth!....but hey, it's a great way to see the country and spend your time with lots of smiling people...plus we LOVE a road trip!
Why should our clients choose you?
I try to be as honest and communicative as I can with couples. For most of them it's the first time they have organised a wedding so I try to be as helpful as I can. It's a very competitive industry and you have to be flexible, no wedding and no couple are the same so I pride myself on being able to adapt to the needs of my couples.
We like to operate in a very relaxed and natural way throughout the wedding day, in our experience the last thing a couple need on their big day is pushy video guys asking them to constantly pose. Our background is in documentary film so we specialize in capturing those little moments the couple may miss while blending into the background and being as invisible as we can.
