We grabbed some pasta, sauce and cheese to bring home and it was great quality! Only thing I’d say is they say you can buy to go home (like we did) but they seemed beyond confused when we were asking for it all!

I’m sorry I didn’t take any photos. We peeped in and were immediately seduced by the smells of nutty Parmesan, garlic and tomato that could only be from an Italian kitchen. The bowls being turned out looked fab and we took a seat.It was only a quick stop so we fully enjoyed a drink and a bowl of pasta each but I wish we had more time for other parts of the menu. I had walked past a few times and thought this place looks amazing. Until today I had not found the occasion to venture in. Not that you should need an occasion . Today I had lunch at Bottega Caruso. The food was astoundingly authentic and just soooooooooooo tasty. But more than this the menu takes you on a journey into family life in the mountains of ZNorthern Italy. Everything about my experience at Bottega Caruso was exceptional. Harry and Simona have created something really unique with Bottega Caruso. So much heart is in their exquisite Italian cuisine that it is hard not to feel instantly transported to Simona’s village outside of Naples (where they source many of their ingredients from). They clearly have real passion for what they do here, and the warmth and personality that envelops you when you walk through the door makes this an experience that will stay with me for a while to come. Best torte I’ve ever had (even in Italy!) and the pork belly was perfectly cooked and mouthwatering. Not to mention the homemade fig gelato. Shame I live so far away in London! My husband and I stopped off here for a spontaneous lunch yesterday and absolutely loved it. We had the lunch specials , spicy ricotta & chilly crab pasta . The food is amazing. Homemade pasta , homemade sauce , really really tasty. For pudding ,proper Tiramisu. So light and super tasty. Everyone is happy, smiley and helpful . The shop looks fab . Our family had the most extraordinary meal here on Easter Sunday. We all said it was one of the best meals we've ever eaten. The food is amazingly authentic, seasoned to perfection and just absolutely delicious. I do know my food and this place is really special. Bottega Caruso deserves every accolade going. We had 4 crazy young children with us so we sat in the little room at the back which was bright, cosy and perfect as we didn't disrupt any other diners. What also makes this place special is the love that goes into the cooking. You feel like you're eating home cooked food and the owners are just lovely people. Perfect service too. You must go! There are just not enough stars! Having previously taken away some sausage ragu and fresh pasta, and popped in for coffee and a bombolone, I’ve been so looking forward to dining in this restaurant.
