James is a fantastic, dedicated and highly motivating trainer. I had a serious shoulder problem and couldn't raise my arm. Through careful monitoring an encouragement I can now do most exercises and can sleep with no pain. James takes a lot of care and can quickly substitute exercises if any are painful. I have noticed a huge difference all over and feel so much stronger and fitter. James does not use a one size fits all in his programmes and tailors each session to the individuals needs. How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?
Hard work and dedication! Diet, exercise and focus/mindfulness are all employed. I use a variety of equipment and techniques - I have to - it's called "Personal" Training for a reason!
What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?
For the record, I don't have that and I don't know anyone who has the perfect dream body - fellow trainers or "gym heads" alike. The point of working out is many fold - the priorities should be health and fitness. Then as you start to lose fat, tone up, get stronger, other magical things happen... it's those things that are the most exciting and keep people going - even after that cheesecake!
What do you love most about your job?
To do this job at the very least you need to enjoy helping people. What I'm most passionate about however is the opportunity to really help someone see their own expectations - around what they can achieve - realised.
What inspired you to start your own business?
A training camp in Thailand.... a long time ago, and far away.

Yes I can, I use Skype and Whereby for example, and whatever equipment you have at your disposal. I can also advise the best additional items to buy - without taking up the whole of your home!
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Triple jabbed (both vaccines and a booster). Household tested at least twice a week. Permission/consent to contact but avoiding confined face to face positions. Sanitising equipment and frequent hand washing.

Using any equipment you have or ones with a minimal footprint I can recommend for you, we can get going on your fitness and wellbeing goals using your computer, tablet or phone in convenient sessions tailored to your needs.
1:1 In Person Personal Training
Using my experience and your willingness to workout, we'll get you working with confidence towards your own goals. I'll be on hand to provide guidance and adaptations to your form to ensure you're getting the most out of your time in the gym.
K-Taping/Kinesiology Taping
Kinesiology tape was developed in the 1970s and so is considered quite a modern therapy. It involves placing strips of special tape on your body in specific directions to help improve your mobility and support your joints, muscles, and tendons. I can tailor this to your needs or the needs of the session.

Low Back Pain Management (and prevention!)
Low back pain is an-ever growing national problem which requires specialist knowledge and training in order to understand and effectively treat it. I chose to take this advanced training course because of my own experience working at a desk in the city before I became a personal trainer. It's an area of passion, and I'm proud of passing the certification with a very high distinction.
Mobility & Postural Improvement
Given my 20 years of experience working at a desk I developed a significant number of injuries and issues. Poor posture has increased in the UK given prevalence of working from home during the pandemic. I can help diagnose and correct most of these postural idiosyncrasies.
Holistic Nutritional Advice
From working with My Fitness Pal or similar apps, to writing out food diary plans with you, I can help reach your goals with nutritional advice.
