My kids and I joined Tipson Choi Kwang Do Academy four weeks ago from another martial art school. So far we are enjoying amazing training sessions. I am particularly happy about my kids training. Senior instructors really spend time to go through every little detail with my kids. I would definitely recommend Tipson Academy for the people who wish to become a real martial artist. More...

A diverse group of individuals who lead, guide, listen and can only be considered awesome, my 2 children regularly attend sessions and although they can be challenging at times (one has retaining information issues) the NCKD team take it all in their stride and support my boys in all their endeavors, they all have patience of saints and the proof in the pudding is when my boys grade every time, I cannot recommend them enough! If you are considering teaching your children and yourself new skills these are the people to see! It’s an affordable art for my children to take part in, and excellent as the first session is free if you not sure if it’s for you, it was for us and I look forward to many more sessions with my boys More...

I suffer with the three "f's"...forty (something), fat and (un) fit. Not been going long, but loving it. You warm up at the start and warm down at the end, as for the bit in the middle, I see it this way. ..you are always encouraged to do your best, but never more than you are comfortable with. Before you know it, you have worked up a sweat and learning a new skill. Mental skill as well as physical. All is very professional...and if you have had a bad day at work, you get to have a "go" at the pads, good to blow off some steam and hone your skills. Give it a go, you may surprise yourself! My son Zac attended for 4 years. His confidence grew, his fitness grew. Great mental work out remembering all those patterns too. For a shy boy the team were welcoming and encouraging and his confidence grew. One big family that I recommend to all ages. More...

My son and I go together on either a Saturday or Sunday morning family session, while i join in with an adult class during the week in the evening. Is a really positive and rewarding environment where you are helped and guided by excellent and patient instructors to your level of ability - each class starts with relaxing breathing exercises aimed to clear your mind ready for the class, which is actually quite nice to do! Then stretching and into the class itself. I would recommend Tipson Choi Kwang Do to any parent wanting to give their children confidence, anyone just wanting to get fit or to just get back into a martial art. Oh, and the first class is free! What do you love most about your job?
Its very rewarding to see each individual progress in their training, especially after overcoming each challenge. Teaching new techniques and skills is a great experience
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was welcomed into the Choi Kwang Do family at an early age where I began my training in Surrey. It was here that I not only progressed as a student, but was given the option to become an instructor. Further to this, I had a desire to teach my own classes. There was nobody teaching it in Basingstoke and it seemed like the perfect opportunity to take.
Why should our clients choose you?
Choi Kwang Do is a relatively new martial art, but is one of the fasted growing one. It began a little over 30 years ago in America and has made its way into over 40 countries. The reason behind its success is the usability and family friendly classes. Its for children, adults and has been proven to help develop those with learning / physical disabilites. Everyone is welcome at Choi Kwang Do.
