Ramsey

Warm Winter Arts provides a complete solution. We can find your perfect domain (website) name, host your site, design it, develop it, and maintain it. Beyond that we complete all graphic design, 2D or 3D, in house. We carry out all social media integrations, online shopping integrations etc... and we will design and order your branded merchandise. We also develop games, apps and 3D simulations by request as well as managing our own ongoing projects. Robin is a renowned 3D designer with an International client base, so while he general works on 'big' custom projects he's also right there to throw a bit of 3D lusciousness into any other project if it's needed. If you're not sure we can do it, drop by the web site and take a look.

What makes a great website?

Almost anyone can 'make' a website but for it to be great it needs several key components:
Most importantly it must meet the clients needs. It doesn't matter how great it is if it isn't fit for purpose.
It must look great on as many different platforms, machines and browsers as is humanly possible.
It should look like an actual artist has been involved somewhere along the line for consultation - colour, font, space etc...
It should be accessible to as many people as possible.
It should be visible on an internet search (don't get too hung up on SEO though, there are other ways).
Consistent. Consistent. Consistent. Not just the site itself, but how it ties in with your other branded materials.
It needs a refresh every so often, as do we.

What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?

What is the purpose? - to advertise, sell, inform, archive, a combination?
Give me all the materials and logos and stuff you have that you like and want to keep.
Here are 10 example web sites - choose three and tell me what you like about them, or bring one you like to my attention.
Choose three of these fonts (may include ones you use already).
Choose some colours from a given swatch (that may be picked from existing colours you use).
What images, media do you have for me?
What written information do you have for me?
What day of the week do you want to check in with me?

What do you love most about your job?

I work from home. I do as much or as little as I choose meaning I have a great balance with other projects. I don't rely on anyone else, apart from by business partner and husband, Robin, so work is completed efficiently within a short period of time. I have great, long-lasting relationships with my clients. I do everything from purchasing the domain name, designing on paper, logos, graphic clues, web design, hosting, launch, maintenance, and connecting to other social media outlets. My husband offers a load of other stuff in the 3D, gaming, and apps department.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I moved into it gradually. Our business was originally in Europe and when we moved to the USA I was not allowed to 'work' so I started to assist on projects for our company instead which was still Europe-based. In time, I gained citizenship, and the company was officially brought into the USA and it was logical by that point for me to continue. Then I took over. Because.

Why should our clients choose you?

Because I'm genuine, hard-working, talented, and extremely funny. We are never 'off the clock' and so we can be contacted very easily and quickly. You won't be talking to a bot, or requesting tickets. You won't be on hold. We don't have a menu pf items for you to 'pick' from, we work with what you want. We negotiate. We fulfill. We like what we do.
