We are a small dog training company specializing in behavior modification and service dog training, committed to compassion and dedicated to you. We seek to provide high quality and reliable training with a strong connection to the owners and their needs. We have combined experience of over 20 years, specializing in aggressive and fearful dogs and I know how important the trust and relationship you build with your dog can be. I am a balanced trainer and use a combination of both negative and positive reinforcement techniques including but not limited to treats, praise, prong collars, and e-collars. I have trained under many mentors from almost all styles of training and I am constantly seeking out new information and new techniques to integrate into my work. Dog training is my lifelong passion and I hope to make it yours too!
The dogs! Of course. But also the feeling of helping a family, helping owners to repair the bond they have with their dog is truly special! Every time I hear from one of my clients that they were able to do that hike they always dreamed of or that their pup was a perfect gentleman at their house party, that's why I do this. Having an aggressive or fearful dog can be stressful, frightening, or shameful. Working with owners to ease that, to show them how to work with their dog is the best part of this job.
I saw a lot of dog training companies undertaking unsafe or unfair working practices, assigning far too many dogs to a single trainer or not giving enough time for each client. I wanted to do right by the dogs and by the clients. With that in mind, I take on only very few clients each month and work closely with the owner to make sure that our training works for you and fits into your life. Each month, I work with only two board and train clients and a max of 3 lessons clients to make sure that I can come up with strong lesson plans and personalized training.
