I recently left a review discussing my frustration with the new automation system at the Bear Glasgow YMCA but a Bear Glasgow YMCA representative left a voicemail that explained the situation to me as well as left me with a phone number that I could call. The classes are pretty good and there are a variety of activities to choose from. The instructors are very friendly and they always encourage to five it our best shot and drive us to do better. I love this place. Tons of zumba classes and all kinds of different aerobics and yoga classes. If your not working and have government assistance, they will work with you so you can join. There are babysitting available which is included and outside and inside pools. They have tons of swimming lessons and other classes for kids and adults. I absolutely love bear glassgow YMCA. I have had a family membership for about 4 months now and I have become addicted to the group classes and usually participate in at least 6 per week. The instructors are pretty awesome and friendly, music is great and there is a sense of belonging you get while being there and participating in the classes. I noticed a lot of people are regulars and enjoy the classes just as much as I do! I love that there are also family activities to do and events, such as when Santa was in the lobby area and there were activities for the kids to do. That event was very well organized and my family was impressed. I was glad someone was giving out cookies and milk so it wouldnt become a mad house with children grabbing as many cookies as they could and making a mess. Everyone is very friendly, I’m addicted to the Zumba classes they offer and the staff does an awesome job babysitting & keeping my son & daughter busy while I work out!! Great place for families

It's a wonderful place to spend our family time. All our families love swimming in the YMCA. The pool is so big and the water is so warm that we almost could not feel the chill in the winter. Thank YMCA!

I like the fact they aren't just sitting around and they are changing the activities everyday. Depending on the weather they will take the kids outside and get some air. Also I appreciate the fact they have the kids active not only with their bodies, but also with their minds. Helping with homework and doing mental exercises. And during the before and after care I appreciate the staff that comes to the school. I had a great experience. My daughter and I went with our guest passes. We took a zumba class and worked our butts off lol. The Bear-Glasgow YMCA has programs which addresses the needs of the young and "old." Programs span 7 days, days when people are working and when they are free from work. Love coming here and my son loves it too! Only reason I'm not giving 4 stars is because of the "new year new me" people that take up spots in the daycare and child classes causing my son to have to wait 20 minutes for the room which makes me wait for my workouts. ...been going since I moved to Delaware 2-1/2 years ago so it just sucks having "temporary" members taking up the spots of regulars....dayscare staff know my son by name which shows he's a regular. I love the Y! I take my children 4 times a week and they have a great time in the kids zone. It's clean, friendly staff, and nice equipment in the fitness center. This summer was the first time I sent my children here to attend the summer camp. I heard nothing but great things about the summer camp and was very pleased with this camp. My children enjoyed swimming everyday and going on a trip every week. The camp counselors were awesome!!!! I will definitely be sending my children back to Camp Cassey next summer and will recommend this camp for those who are searching for a excellent camp! More...
