So I decided to use them and so happy I did they were professional and always quick to help when needed   My pool looks awesome and cannot wait to use it.  That is the only thing bad it got done when it was suppose to on time and I couldn't swim cause it was winter  I tell everyone about this company. We live in Lake Las Vegas and searched for just the right pool builder. After interviewing 5 pool builders we selected Xterior Creations (Jason Johlfs, Salesman) because of his honesty, creativity and profesionalism. (I found them searching Yelp Reviews of pool builders in the area)  Their estimating, building and follow up has been exceptional and beyond expectations!  Honestly, it has!  Our pool is beautiful and it was finished on time without issues.  Give Jason a call for an estimate - you won't regret it.  BTW, the rest of the staff there is wonderful as well:  Dan, Jr., Dan Sr., Tai, Donna, Yovanni and their contractors.  Communication is excellent every step of the way. I just completed the summer with my family enjoying our pool built by Xterior Creations.  We absolutely love our pool, and have spent so many quality hours of family time in it, around it, looking at and thoroughly enjoying it.  I feel compelled to write this review in order to perhaps give some insight into why I chose Xterior, what I got in the process, and how they compare to local competition.I did a lot of research of course regarding which pool builder to go with, as this was a big expensive decision.  I had a real good idea of what I wanted and wanted a designer and good builder that could bring my ideas to finished product.  My home was brand new, just being built, and the builder's preferred pool company was Blue Haven Pools.  Blue Haven has a dig and hold program with the builder where they dig the pool before the house is finished which saves time and hassle, and money as they won't need to tear down the courtyard walls for access later.  Both my builder and Blue Haven make this sound like a huge advantage.  It was not in the end - may have saved some time in theory, but didn't, I'll explain why.I called a bunch of pool companies based on which ones had real good reviews and pics of completed pools with designs that appeal to me.  Despite generally bad reviews I also considered Blue Haven because I was pushed that way by my builder.  Initial consultations highlighted differences between companies right away.  I felt strongly that a designer needed to come to my home and walk the lot with me as I had real specific ideas on where things should be.  I have an awesome view lot of the strip and this pool needed to just be perfect to make the most of the view.  Blue Haven's sales person was very resistant to come to my home, said he could do it all from pictures.  California Pools said there would be a several hundred dollar design fee to mock up my pool for me after coming to my home, if they came.  Xterior's Jason offered to come, no problem and made an appointment quickly.  When he came he spent over an hour walking the lot with me, writing notes of all the important discussion points patiently.  He gave me a lot of confidence he cared about getting it right based on exactly what I wanted.   Blue Haven also came out after I told him I wouldn't be moving forward without him walking the lot with me.  California Pools also came out after I told him the same.The design experience was also contrasting.  California Pools came up with a pretty good design, but not exactly what I wanted, for a price that ended up being about $30K more than Xterior's price.  Blue Haven's design was basically what I had drawn by hand and submitted to him.  He drew the same thing out on a Manila envelope and showed me, presenting it as his idea and then bragging relentlessly that he was the best pool designer in Las Vegas.  I told him I wouldn't be moving forward without a computer mockup of the pool design, so he reluctantly scheduled another meeting.  My meeting with Jason to see his pool design couldn't have gone better.  I walked into Xterior's office, and everything is professional - well organized, clean, and efficient.  Blue Haven's office was a mess - disorganized and unprofessional.  Jason showed me his design on his computer.  It was pretty much hit out of the ballpark - exactly what I wanted.  I was wowed.  He took all my ideas precisely and put them into the design.  I didn't really expect a designer to nail it on the first try, but he pretty much did.  When I walked out of his office I had pretty much made up my mind I'd be going with Xterior, unless someone else just totally blew me away, which I really doubted would happen by then.  After another scheduled meeting with Blue Haven, the salesperson no-showed.  Then he promised to make it up to me by blowing me away with his computer design.  So I went back again to see it, and it was totally mediocre, the level I could probably do myself after 20 minutes training on how to use the program.  He told me then he would tweak it anyway I wanted it and started throwing out really low prices for the pool, far lower than Xterior's prices.  By then though my mind was made up, I was willing to pay more for Xterior because they have great reviews, and the process was so much more professional by then I just had a hunch I was going to have far fewer problems with them.  In the end I chose Xterior and signed up to pay over $10K more with them just to insure a better process with more professional poeple.  In the end, I know now, that Blue Haven's price was not even close to comparing apples to apples.  My pool, for the same details, would have cost more with Blue Haven.  And worst of all I know now the quality of my pool if I had gone with them would have been about 10 levels lower than what I got with Xterior.My neighbors went with Blue Haven.  They regret their decisions immensely after seeing mine and the quality differences.   My pool is the envy of the neighbors. I was referred to Dan by our pool designer Jason Karras. Previously in California my husband and I acted as our own contractors in building a pool. We recognized that this time we wanted a turn key service that we would work with but managed the entire project. We are beyond thrilled with the end results. From the implementation of the design, the price point and the customer service I would rate the staff, the sub-contractors used, and the responsiveness of Donna who managed the schedule, to Dan the owner who solved any problem and answered any and all question during the entire process a ten on a ten scale. Xterior Creations transformed our Las Vegas back yard into a beautiful oasis, far exceeding our high expectations.  Really well done! Our experience began with Jason, whom we met just hours after closing on our new home.  His enthusiasm, creativity, and honest opinions really impressed my wife and I.  After receiving a few more quotes, it was an easy decision to go with Xterior Creations.  We are glad we did.First, Jason carefully listened to what we wanted to achieve with the pool design.  He added great suggestions and steered us toward just the right sort of back yard set up.  One of the definitive pluses for us was that Xterior Creations not only included the pool in their quote, but also integrated landscaping, lighting, and a patio cover (although in the end we decided we didn't need one of those).  Jason worked with us to create our oasis.  Anticipation rapidly built as the project got underway.Xterior Creations earns stellar marks from us for the quality of the subcontractors they employ.  From the dig, to the shotcrete, the plaster, landscaping, and more, the professionals that worked around our house were all upstanding and highly talented.  Work proceeded apace, and any minor issues were promptly and correctly dealt with.Dan the Owner made several visits to our site, and we felt confident throughout the process that he was leading a team who had our best interests at heart.  It is hard to overstate how important it is to choose a company led by a local owner who delivers excellence.  His choice of equipment, the training he provides to employees, the high standards demanded of subcontractors - all of this depends on the owner, and Dan is top-shelf.A few more shout-outs...  To Donna and Benji - great work in keeping all of the bouncing balls on the court.  Super job in keeping the project on schedule.  To Ty - best pool school ever.  So much patience with our questions (I'll be texting you a couple more next week).Final word - take your business to Xterior Creations with confidence.  Their work to create our backyard oasis has changed how we live here in Las Vegas.  Hats off, drinks up, and a big "Thank You!" to Xterior Creations.
