Would like to explain the circumstances surrounding the handling of the euthanizarion of our cat Moe. My wife and I were told at the time with communal cremation we would receive ashes back. Come to find out that was not the case. I came to the clinic and sat down with the office manager Temily who made me hopeful that if the place the cremation took place was contacted soon enough something would be done. At the time Temily told me I would be contacted in a few days. Weeks go bye with no contact. My wife calls no manager available someone will call you back. That happens for a few days with her always initiating the contact, no calls back as promised. Finally we receive a call saying no ashes, there's nothing we can do. The ball was continuously dropped in the handling of the situation. I believe the manager had the information and the opportunity but didn't want to make the difficult phone call. Then when we go to the clinic today to get her paw prints, there's only 1 when we requested all 4, there is written documentation to support this. No explanation as to why only one was created could be provided. We were told a manager would contact us, but I fear we are back in the cycle of chasing them down for answers. Had a great experience here today with my kitten. The tech was very informative and they did everything to keep my cat calm and relaxed. Thanks to the care club program I know he is good for the year and I didn't have to pay for everything up front. For $48 a month he is getting all his vaccines, testing, neutering and exams for the whole year. I just returned from our third visit to VCA Westerville East and the staff have been fantastic each and every time. This particular visit involved Dapple (stray momma cat that adopted us) and her five kittens, all in one go to get vaccinated and have blood work done. The staff were smooth as clockwork and were great with all of the brood and were incredibly understanding when a couple of them were a bit nervous! The techs are SO wonderful here! My pup doesn’t love to get his nails trimmed, but every time they are so gentle and loving with him! Wrong place. This is the vet that took care of my fur baby. Angel loved them. Great customer service. The first thing they did was look at her nail and said that instead of doing a costly surgery they would just try to wriggle the nail off first and save us from having a large bill. It worked wonders. Angel is doing well. And if i need a vet again this is the only place i would trust. Sorry VCA. Google review gave me the wrong place. My dog is gets vaccines, checkups and is boarded here. Dr Clementz saw my dog today and she was wonderful with him, she understands his breed and knows his temperament, at the end of the visit she spent the time to talk with me and comfort my dog after his shots. I know he was comfortable with her because he laid flat in front of her, ready to be pet, which is unusual for him. She was great.Colleen is a vet tech and is amazing too. She took the time to get to know my dog long ago and treats him like her own. I have always loved the way she handles my dog, she gives great care!Also while we were there 2 staff members, who were not at all part of our appointment, said hello to my dog by name. Which I thought was sweet.I have talked to a lot of the staff here and they have always treated me kindly, as well as my dog. I just want to thank everyone at Westerville East Animal Hospital for all you do. There are times when we have to go out of town and taking our furry family member (our little yorkie) is not an option. I wish I could take him everywhere! The staff is so great with him and they are also great at making me feel comfortable leaving him in their care. One of the techs, Jackie, is especially great! I cannot say enough good things about VCA. We moved here from Chicago where we had a long standing relationship with an amazing vet, and I was nervous that we would have a hard time finding that here. After going to several vets that weren't hitting the mark, a friend recommended VCA and we gave it a shot. All of the staff are friendly, and you can tell they really care about the animals. The rooms are clean, and updated. What set VCA apart though, was the way they handled a situation when our dogs were sick and we were out of town. Not only did they spend a TON of time with me on the phone, but they also allowed our dog sitter to come in so they could give her detailed instructions on how to care for our pups. This was not a scheduled appointment, and Dr. Andrea spent at least 20 minutes with her. She even gave our dog sitter her personal cell phone number in case she had any questions over the holiday weekend. More...

VCA is not just a vet and board facility, they take care of your pet as if it is their own! They helped me through a very difficult time as my cat was growing older. They helped me care for her and gave me what what I needed to take care of her as she passed away. I am so thankful for the VCA's sensitivity and support during that time. My dog has also received medical attention at VCA. Not only that, he has also been boarded too. I love my dog like crazy, so naturally I am protective of him and want him to have the very best care. He is not just a pet, he is part of my family and so it is a comfort to know that if I go out of town he is in good hands. The VCA staff knows him well and takes great care of him and because of my dogs bouncy/hyper personality, that isn't always easy! VCA has gone above and beyond for me and my dog.
