I highly recommend University Karate Center to kids, teenagers, adults, and families. There is much to learn about yourself and your body through the study of martial arts. It’s a wonderful physical and mental activity. Sensei Mason is a great instructor. He taught me a lot about myself, my potential, and my strengths and weaknesses as a person. Unfortunately, I moved away years ago and haven’t been able to find anywhere comparable to the instruction and care the University Karate Center has for its students. My young son I spent many many years training at the University Karate Center under Sensei Robert Mason. It was one the most important journeys in our lives. We both grew as individuals, physically, emotionally and spiritually! This helped shape the rest of our loves to become productive and sensitive adults. The University Karate center is THE place to train in the martial arts. The style of Karate, Mu Do Kai is compatible with every level, every ability and promotes genuine growth. We immediately became a part of a Martial Arts family at the University Karate Center. We developed life long friends there. Sensei Mason is amazing as a teacher/leader. He fosters a positive environment in which one reflects and grows in their life and their practice. My son and I are not in the area any more, but his daughter my granddaughter is now training in the Martial Arts. My son great up at the University Karate Center and wants his 5 year old little girl to have Martial Arts in her life as well! I am 62 now, and I learned Karate from Sensi Mason in the early 90's. The lessons I learned at this facility from Sensi are still alive and strong in me.
