Where do I start? There is not enough good things that I can say. About 40 cal kennels And the work that Tony does With our furry friends. I was at a place of hopelessness with my dog. I couldn’t have anybody come over my dog was very protective of me hence that’s why I did get them to be a dog and to guard the house but it became to the point that he didn’t want anybody by me. With him being American bulldog and his anxiety levels being very very high and just always on guard, I felt like I was trying to train a kid all over again, and I just did not know how to do it because obviously he’s not a kid he’s a dog and a very protective one.

I talked to over 15 different kennels and spent money at fly-by-night joints, including Petco that did not have what it took to train this type of breed this type of dog. I found Tony on google , I loved the reviews loved what he was doing with his craft and my dog has been with Tony going on 5 weeks And is making tremendous progress unlike anything that I’ve ever seen I am so excited and I cannot wait until my furry friend comes home, but hands-down I definitely recommend this trainer he’s diligent.

He’s focused he commands the authority, and he knows how to handle any type of breed of dog as far as I’m concerned And he doesn’t mind getting in the trenches with your animal to modify the behavior that is not correct!!

so if you’re looking for a wonderful trainer that loves animals and is dedicated to his craft 40 cal kennels is your place to go he’s very reasonably priced compared to a lot of of these places out here and he gives him a loving home environment so when they transition back into your home, it’s in that exact same setting a home environment versus the animal being locked up in a cage all day long or however long it takes for staff to get back. He’s on site 24 hours a day and he’s working with your furry friend, so please check him out ,

I’ve come all the way from the south Bend , Indiana area and I drove one hour and 45 minutes to get my dog to Tony and I wouldn’t take my dog anywhere else and if I decide to get any other animal that is where they will go. Looking forward to working with Tony again soon! After 2 weeks, our 5.5 month old Doberman puppy Nala came home much more obedient and overall responsive. Training is a process, for both dogs and their owners. My experience with 40Cal Dog training was awesome, Tony was able to take care and train my anxious beabull. I have to travel more than 2 hours to visit 40 cal dog training academy but it is still worth it !
I will recommend Tony 100/100 !

Ace is an 18 month old border collie mix who has bounced through three homes. He hadn't been trained and was just running amok. We've never had large dogs, so the approach to training was completely foreign to us.
Tony's 2 week training for Ace gave him some basics that we can build on. He's not pulling us on the leash, he's got the idea of "sit" and "down", and he's generally a calmer and more confident dog. He is almost completely over his submissive peeing issue as well, which is amazing!
Tony is very responsive to calls and texts and is very willing to work with owners and family.

We took Luna for boarding for a few days. She seemed very happy and comfortable when I picked her up at the end of our trip. It meant a lot to me that she was in a home environment and not locked up in a kennel most of the time. We will definitely be using 40 Cal again in the future! More...

Our dog does not like strangers and that makes it difficult to find a place to board him when we go away. Tony was great with our dog and we were able to enjoy our vacation knowing our dog was in good hands. I will definitely recommend.

I appreciate Tony allowing us to board our dog while we were out of town. During the boarding, Tony was able to assess our dog and give us feedback about his training needs. Taking care of animals is a tough job. Being able to train them properly is tougher if you do not understand dog behaviors and cannot communicate with them. It takes a lot of patience and understanding that not all dogs learn the same. Very professional. Took good care of my pit when I went on vacation. Allowed her to interact with his dogs while out playing. Something the other kennel I took her to didn’t do. They were afraid she was aggressive toward other dogs. At 40 Cal, they said she’s not aggressive. I see the dogs he raises and how well mannered they are. we highly recommend Tony from 40cal. We did a 2 week board and train with our 5 year old German shepherd Nala that had a lot of reactivity with other dogs and people. She’s been so much better since we brought her home, it’s surprising how much difference there is in just 2 weeks. He also went out of his way to help us understand what we should and shouldn’t be doing and how to keep the training going at home after his jumpstart on her. Tony was amazing to work with! You can tell he really cares about the dogs and isn't just in it for the money. He communicated with me while he had my dog the entire time about how she was doing and even sent pictures & videos. Even when we got our dog back he took the additional time to stay with us and go over the training that he had done and how to continue it so that our dog didn't revert back to her old ways. There has already been a noticeable difference in less than 24 hours of her being home. We sent her to train with tony for reactiveness and lack of attention. Immediately we could see the difference as she was able to focus on us and actually listen. Took my 6 month old stubborn American Akita to him, I couldn’t believe how improved he brought him back only in 2 weeks. I recently had to take a lengthy trip. I was hesitant about boarding my husky pup. My fear of taking step backwards in training was a huge concern to me. Since I have picked him up (5 days ago) he has shown that not only did he not take steps backwards but he listens even better than before I droped him off. I definitely recommend this company if your looking to board and you don’t want your four legged friend to be stuck in a kennel all day. More...

He was very nice and caring toward our dog. He kept her away from the big dogs bc he sensed that she was too timid. We would go there again.

Tony is fabulous with dogs, he took my out of control 110lb lab and got him under control! This is a dog who caused a rotator cuff injury, I thought I might have to get rid of. Since boot camp! My dog is completely different, he listens and he walks like a good young man, instead of a rotten teenager. Tony, is so good with dogs I took my boy back for phase two of boot camp. Anthony never gave up on my GS, Parker. Anthony provided the expertise that I lacked to address some behavioral issues. Tony has boarded and trainedy my dogs many times and even though he is two hours away and there are many other trainers much closer, I will not trust my dogs with anyone else!

Great experience with Tony. We have a reactive rescue that used to bite us and our other dogs. We worked with Tony. Now Thanos is off his shock collar, doing great on walks, he now regulates his emotions.

Tony is great, very professional, my dog loves him and I know I leave him in excellent hands.

You can definitely see a difference from before the training compared to after we are so happy happy with the results and know it will only get better going forward and continuing it on our end I would 100% recommend definitely 5 out 5.
