TNT Self Defense

This place is great for teaching your kids taekwondo. Master Troy Smith is amazing. Very patient, not the drill instructor type. He works with the kids and makes sure they do their best. He brought my son out of his shell and now he is competing in tournaments and won his very first trophy this year. I would highly recommend this place if you are thinking about enrolling your child in martial arts. While I do not take lessons at TNT, over the past 3 years I have worked closely with one of the instructors at TNT Guro Abel Martinez. Guro Martinez and I helped form a Filipino Martial Arts cross training group called MAPA in the DFW area and guro Abel has over the past 2 1/2 years been one of the featured instructors at several of the events. In addition to those events guro Abel and I have added once a month cross training events for our students in the Modern Arnis program.I teach Modern Arnis in the DFW area and I had looked for a like minded instructor who was both skilled in the martial arts and who taught well for my students and I to cross train with. Guro Abel is a multi skilled instructor in Modern Arnis, Chinese Kung Fu, and Jujitsu. Along with guro Abel we work with two other students/instructors from TNT who are also multi skilled martial artists; Karen Clark (Modern Arnis and Jujitsu), and Seven Swinney (Modern Arnis and Okinawan Karate).
