Dog Obedience Training: Board and Train (2-4 weeks)
Our dog training board and train programs are designed for dogs aged 10 weeks and above. Our two-week board and train program focuses on basic obedience and minor behavioral issues like jumping, mouthing, and leash pulling.
Dogs who participate in our board and train program will spend 24 hours a day in their trainer’s home this allows for the most comprehensive board and train program available. It allows your dog and trainer to bond and allows dogs to learn in real-world scenarios creating a broader range of training skills to be taught than with traditional kennel boarding programs.
We use the Whole Dog approach and look at all areas of a dog’s life to assist with accomplishing training goals including; exercise, diet, temperament, breed, and background. We use only balanced, positive training we do not use prong/pinch collars or shock collars/ecollars.
Basic - Advanced Obedience: In Home Sessions
Advanced Obedience Training is designed to build upon your dogs basic commands to achieve a higher level of obedience including off-leash training, longer downs, stays, better recalls, release commands, and obedience with medium to high distractions. Advanced Obedience Training is also ideal for dogs who will be used for therapy, or sports (like flyball or agility).
Sessions are conducted in your home and are scheduled approximately one week apart. The number of sessions needed will vary from pet to pet and family to family. Day, evening and weekend appointments are available for your convenience and all family members are welcomed and encouraged to participate.
Behavioral Training: In Home Sessions
Behavioral issues are the number one reason dog owners call for assistance from a professional. Our behavioral experts, use a combination of positive reinforcement and counter-conditioning training techniques to re-train even the most aggressive pets.
Behavioral problems in dogs can vary widely, from jumping and excessive leash pulling to severe aggression. We work to correct all types of behavioral problems using proven techniques that maximize the desired outcome. We never use methods that traumatize, abuse, or scare a dog into behaving. Instead, we use our knowledge of how dogs learn to effectively correct problem behaviors without creating new ones.
