We have our puppy Hades at sit means sit currently for board & train. We love him to death and leaving him somewhere for 5 days gave me more separation anxiety than he ever had. (Yup that kind of helicopter puppy parent, we're working on it ) They didn't make us feel ridiculous at all , super understanding, compassionate from front desk to trainers to the owner Sandy reassuring us we are doing the right thing for him. We also receive daily updates on him and he loves it. He had always been on the shy side and had issues with being scared of other dogs. With the guidance of the trainers we are seeing him play and have the time of his life around more than 4 dogs on his second day. He will definitely be going to day care with his brother when me and my husband have super busy days, because we know he is well taken care of, loved and given some good training. Thank you to the sit means sit team for guiding him and also us through the process and getting us started on being better puppy parents for our sweet boy. We look forward to our one on one classes coming up. More...

Sit Means Sit has changed the life of my German Shepherd Lily, and my family. I heard about this wonderful dog training program from a friend and I had my doubts. I thought Lily was going to be a reactive, anxiety-filled dog for the rest of her life. Boy, was I WRONG... Lily did the 10-day board and train at the facility and just in that time, she made a turning point for the best. This isn't a magic pill that will change the behavior of your dog, but with the help of Sandy and her colleagues, and the determination and time to train your dog this works wonders. If you are on the fence about this program you get this go-ahead from my experience. Sandy and her fellow trainers are nothing but hard working. respectful women who only want the best outcome for you, and your four-legged friend. I'm excited to continue this program to make my dog and my life better. THANK GOD FOR SIT MEANS SIT. More...

She also stayed by my side the whole walk. we are just beginning on her training but she has done awesome . Best thing is she didn't bark at the kids from our backyard. Lucy is my "difficult" Plott Hound who was running my life. I reached out to Sandy Brady of Sit Means Sit in Firestone. I knew Sandy from playing flyball and I knew from watching her with her own dog and team members that Sandy could help me with Lucy Lucy went to Sandy's facility for five days and came home with some new manners. I continue to work with Lucy with the guidance of Sit Means Sit. As a team, Lucy and I have become a nicely functioning dog and owner pair. I am now a more confident owner and trainer for all of my dogs. We were very pleased with Sit Means Sit Dog Training in Firestone, Co. Sandy, the owner, does an excellent job with the animals and hires an exceptional crew of office staff, trainers, and everyone connected with Sit Means Sit. We had taught our puppy tricks of sit, stay, roll over, etc. but definitely needed help with her behavior. The trainers at Sit Means Sit have done a fabulous job with her. I owe everything to Sandy and the Sit Means Sit Longmont team. My 1 year old shepherd mix, Kane, was super reactive to just about any other dog- barking, lurching, etc. He also has a crazy strong nose, and was overwhelmed by smells no matter where we went. I could not get him to focus no matter how hard I tried. After a few months with sit means sit, Kane has become the best dog. He can focus in any new environment, and can tune out other dogs and smells. I can trust him off leash and know he will listen to me. He’s also learned to regulate his reactions to other dogs, and has even made some new doggy friends! He earned his Canine Good Citizen Certification just 4 months into training. Sit Means Sit is THE BEST DOG TRAINING PROGRAM EVER. More...

I am going to SMS with my 10 month old GSD. I have seen no abuse of E-collars. Trainers check on the collars before training and during training if there seems to be a problem. My dog is very reactive and needs the e-collar. Positive reinforcement didn't work and still doesn't.The e-collar keeps her in line while she goes through her puppy phase. I am hoping repetition (we go to training twice a week) plus at home training will finally kick in and we can forego the e-collar eventually. The trainers are kind and helpful. The only suggestion I would make is to change up the weekly drills more. Some variety would be nice. More...

Sit Means Sit and Sandy have been amazing for my dogs and my family's dogs over the last 6 years. I currently have a foster and she was extremely fearful and aggressive because of this fear. I was honestly afraid she would never find a home. She is a beautiful and sweet girl, but I couldn't handle her out in the world. Sandy has been very generous with her time and resources to help me with her. Once we started training, things changed almost immediately. She listens to me, she trusts me to be her leader, and she isn't as fearful or aggressive Sandy and her crew of capable and kind trainers continue to reinforce all of her training while she is there at daycare. I now have complete faith that my foster will be able to find a forever family! You can get your life and your house back with this training, it really is life changing. More...

SMS is a professional company that produces amazing results in dog training and all done with care and compassion, both for the dog and the owner. I receive many compliments on how well my dog Molly behaves. I also learned that, as much as SMS can train your dog to behave, the owner has to be sure to follow through on what was taught for the dogs to continue on the right track. Sandy and crew are always available and helpful when I have questions or need a refresher. I also take Molly to SMS for daycare and boarding as I trust them immensely. I will only Recommend Sit Means Sit to anyone looking for dog training. We had a very difficult situation come up in our family, that required our dogs be boarded. They offered us the immersion program and a payment agreement that also fit our difficult situation. The trainers Adam and Lindsey tenaciously worked with our stubborn girl, Charlie and our super energetic pup, Bravo. We got updates during their stay. When they came home, Lindsey spent hours with us working with us to explain their training and how to effectively continue at home. I could tell that she got a bit treary eyed when it was time to say goodbye to Bravo. And to have a trainer that cares THAT much about your pups is priceless! Thank you Sit Means Sit!! More...
