Excellent spot! Came here after hearing about the restaurant on Check Please Bay Area. The focaccia was excellent (though I was not in love with the lemon flavor in the olive oil). Let's start with the stars 's I'd add a half a star to my 2, but the Yelp system doesn't allow me to, so 3 s it is. Â Let this be a warning . ... We opted to just give this place a try as we have heard very mixed reviews from folks who live locally; then I saw it on 'Check Please' & hubby insisted on going down to try their veggie burger of sorts and of course the kiddo came along as well. Given it was a week day their patio seating was very limited, unlike what you'll find on a Friday or Saturday night when we've walked bye. Â But give the heat we opted to eat inside. Â We started with drinks all around, glass of wine, 2 signature drinks that turned into 3 as one got sent back. Â So the kiddo first ordered the 'Lumiere' - was supposed to be gin with elderflower liqueur dash of orange bitters and ... plus a garnish of mint & lime; no garnish & the drink tasted almost solely of lime juice, in short it was sent back for something else. Â The something else was also lacking, half was left behind. Â I tried the Roxx-o-Rita, tequila, strawberry & kiwi, shaken, it was okay. Â Onto the appetizer: Hubby ordered the: Italian Style Antipasto platter - artichoke hearts, roasted peppers, supposed to have marinated mushrooms - none were on the platter, pickled carrots - not so pickled, salami thickly sliced, maybe prosciutto? Â And don't forget the focaccia bread, nicely done. Onto the mains: we ordered: the grilled portobello mushroom & seasonal sammie, Roxx house made Astounding veggie burger & one special of the crab grilled sammie, sides were tater tots & 2 Caesar salads. Â Hubby was impressed with their veggie burger stating it had good flavors- the side salad was over dressed, but doable. Â The kiddo had the grilled portobello & seasonal veggie sammie - she said it was "okay" her tater tots were greatly lacking, as in from a box to the oven to her plate, meh. I tried the special of the crab sammie with melted cheese, avocado & tomato with side salad. Â The sammie overall was okay, a little less greasy on the bread would be nice. Â The salad was over dressed yet doable. Â For $27.00 for a crab sammie I expected much better, could just be me, but I don't think so. This food is great. All of the salads are delicious & the dressing had just the right amount of acid. Some of the dishes have au gratin potatoes, and l would have preferred mashed potatoes instead. Located in downtown Martinez, came here on a Tuesday afternoon just for drinks, we sat outside and it was pretty cozy inside with nice bathrooms. The servers were very friendly and there was a wide variety of drinks and fairly priced. We got about 2 rounds of drinks for about $12-$15 a cocktail. I asked what was popular and I think the got the Pink Eddy-- which had elderflower liqueur, and then their Roxx-O-Rita which was their Margarita. My friend got their Hemingway and their Vermont Pig Old Fashioned which came with candied bacon. I think they had a wide variety of cocktails and were pretty strong and a nice spot to just chill around downtown Martinez. Parking isn't hard either because there's plenty of street parking. We went here on a Saturday evening for dinner. Â Luckily, we got seated right away with no reservation for the 3 of us. My wife & I ordered the special that night - Dungeness crab avacado sandwich on sourdough. Mine came with the salad w/ vinegarette dressing & the wife had hers with a really good clam chowder that's like real homemade - not canned nor readymade like from Costco. The sandwiches were so good & filling, we could only eat half & took the other half home for another time. My daughter had the chicken breast sandwich on chibata bread. She also could not finish it & took the rest home.For dessert, we had the special - chocolate bread pudding with chocolate ice cream. It's was so delicious & chocolatey. Came for dinner with the family on a Saturday evening. The hostess was very welcoming.We wanted to sit outside but there were no seats until after the street was closed and they accommodated us as soon as tables where set. My wife enjoyed the delicious polenta bake with chicken meatballs , while I had the flatiron steak that was cooked perfectly along with potatoes gratin. Today 3/12/2022 my son and I went here, and we've been here numerous times, but we were completely ignored and not even asked if we wanted to dine here. The waitress walked past us 3 times. We then left and came back 20 minutes later and this time as I waited and stood at the little stand waiting by the door, not a single soul spoke to me. Roxx on Main ROCKS! Â Thank you Lesley for accommodating our large party last night and for making our Wedding day extra special. We had reservations for 10 people, but ended up being 19. Everyone ordered off the menu and the kitchen pulled off 19 plates without a hitch. I had the double cut Pork Chop which was prepared perfectly! My bride and a few others had the Salmon which was amazing, while some had the burger, crab sandwich, and the special pasta dish. Â Everyone loved their meals, and the cocktails were delicious. A friend in Richmond recommended coming out to Martinez & trying one of Roxx's fabulous burgers. Â We took a friend out for late lunch. Â Turned out we were able to order entrees from the dinner menu because the kitchen had the sides prepared. So 2 of us ordered the steak with cooked greens & mushrooms, the other ordered salmon. Our first luncheon visit was a great success! Although it was almost full, with dinners inside and out, our waitress really hustled and our short wait to order was eased by ice water and focaccia bread and oil placed immediately upon seating. We went there for New Year's Eve dinner 2021. We had a delicious meal. They did a really nice job. It was such a relaxed atmosphere & the staff was so nice. We knew they had other seatings but we didn't feel rushed at all. They really did a good job making everyone feel comfortable. It was very reasonably priced for a five course meal. Each course was a delight. I had the prime rib and it was perfectly cooked and the potatoes we're delicious. I wish New Year's Eve was every night. Well done Roxx! More...

I've lived in Martinez for a long time, and I think the reason that yesterday was the first time I've ever been here is that they used to have funky hours. I remember seeing it from time to time and thinking I should try it but then always finding it closed. I'm glad I was finally able to give it a shot, because it was great. Everything my family had was delicious, and the staff were super friendly. They even gave us freshly baked focaccia bread with oil and balsamic vinegar, which I haven't seen done at a lot of restaurants (even Italian ones) Â in a while, especially not during lunch. More...

In the area on jury duty and decided to try out the local eateries. Roxx on Main St. I as highly recommended by a local FB group and I can understand why. The service is friendly and the food is delicious. I ordered a special, a fall salad with persimmons, field greens, grilled chicken and herbs. All tossed in an orange vinaigrette. The salad was huge. Don't miss this place. I have brought everybody I know here for dinner l. The music is excellent, the food is excellent and the staff is amazing Please do yourself a favor and have dinner there. I came back to this place tonight because the burger is ALWAYS good but I wanted to try something different so I asked the waitress her opinion between the salmon and the chicken. She recommended the salmon and I'm so happy I listened to her, it was so crispy but juicy. The greens and the sauce was so delicious and the service is always so friendly. Please be patient with staffing as it is noted around the restaurant they are short staffed and hiring! They had more tables set out in the streets than usual tonight. On a Saturday afternoon with a group of 4 friends we were treated to a delicious meal, attentive service and wonderful music under a warm sunset sitting outdoor on Main St. Our waitress frequently checked back with us during our meal.I ordered the polenta with tomato sauce, melted cheese and meatballs. It was fabulous with a glass of house wine , and my 3 friends ordered the baked salmon with Caesar salad. We were all satisfied and I even had wonderful leftover meatballs the next day. I don't know how I have never been to this place before! Â Amazing from start to finish. Â I went for late lunch on a Wednesday. Â I was able to choose my table and was brought a refreshing bottle of chilled water with ice. Â The waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly...I actually thought she might be the owner. Â You could tell she liked her job, as well as everyone else that I came in contact with at this restaurant. Â I had a wonderful glass of Chardonnay and the House Salad with Grilled Chicken. Â It was AMAZING! Â The vegetables were fresh/organic, the chicken was warm off the grill and the dressing was fantastic. Â They serve delicious Foccacia bread with dipping oil too! Anthony is the best server there is! If you have a chance to make a reservation ask for Anthony. Quick, personable, and funny! Not to mention hes literally cute as a button. Three of us had lunch on the curbside patio and wow, what a delightful surprise! I had a grilled cheese and bacon sandwich, which was loaded with perfectly melted cheese, tomatoes, bacon and mushrooms on toasted sourdough. My wife had a crab melt that was equally tasty and our daughter in law had a generously portioned green salad with a side of nicely steamed broccoli. Roxx has a limited but well thought out wine selection and an extensive beer list featuring many choices from local breweries. This is a great place to grab lunch while in Martinez.I met a friend for a quick lunch before returning to court. I had a crab Louie salad. There was plenty of fresh Dungeoness crab on it. There was about half an avocado sliced on top. There was just enough dressing.The waitress was very friendly and helpful. She was attentive but not pushy. She was wearing a mask.
